I rode Radiator Springs Racers 30 times. While I did it, I tracked EVERYTHING. And in the process I learned quite a lot about how to best enjoy this fan favorite attraction. It's the most popular attraction in the entire Disneyland Resort, and thus the most competitive.
We'll show you how to master it.
When to ride. When not to ride. What should you expect at any give time of the day. Are there any secrets or hacks? We've got the answers.
It's the most important video you can watch if you want to ride Radiator Springs Racers.

Single rider with a partner is the way to go. Not only is it faster but it gives an opportunity to race your partner in a different car toward the end of the ride. Fun to shout and holler at them.

My husband and I both rode Radiator Springs using single rider in early July mid-morning. We went one at a time while our daughter napped in her stroller so one of us could watch her. I timed the wait to get onto the ride and it was just over 9 minutes when I was in the queue. For my husband it seemed faster (he went 2nd), but we didn’t time it. Single rider is the way to go!

I once watched a lady in the Single Rider line SCREAMING at the dad and little girl behind her that they “shouldn’t” be in the line because they weren’t “real” single riders. People are so exhausting.

We rode Radiator Springs in November in the evening. The wait was 2 hours so we bought the lightening lane. It was worth it. The ride stopped momentarily so when it resumed, they were letting the lightening lane go first. When we left the most fabulous ride in the world, can you tell it's my favorite ride ever, the wait was now 3 hours.

It’s more than ten years on now. The popularity of this ride is a tribute to imagineers of the time. My only quibble: is the backside of Cadillac mountain range still left unfinished? Or perhaps was it always meant to be like this? It’s kind of jarring when viewed outside the park (or, at least it used to be; I haven’t seen it in years). The view from corner of Harbor and Katella. Maybe it was always meant to show the artificial , cartoony nature of radiator springs? If so, then it would be perfectly fitting. I’ve always wondered, pondered. ;) Grateful for the ride. I remember the excitement of opening day fondly. 🎉❤😮

MMRRR is a super easy line. As David has said, the doorway is 45 mins. They seem to clear the queue when it breaks down so keep an eye on the tip board. People will linger waiting for it to reopen, but it’s such a high capacity loader that even with a full line it moves almost constantly. It was never worth individual lightening lane, besides, the queue is sooo cute, it’s a disadvantage to skip it.

Ok for one of these 'Lab Tests', I would like you to try testing wait times for some of Disneyland's more popular attractions, i.e. Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Big Thunder and Rise of the Resistance. BUT...only AFTER all these Ride Closures that will be happening in August. I'm going to be there in mid September but will only have about little more than half day inside the park. So I need to make the best of my time and I just get the feeling with so many closures, the other rides will suffer longer wait times than usual. I didn't include Haunted Mansion because if that has a Virtual Queue, it'll already be a nightmare. And by now, I can confidently say that I know Tiana's will NOT be ready by then.

We need that Avengers E Ticket and the Avatar ride to take away some people from Radiator Springs. I can see it becoming a Space Mountain/Indiana Jones level of wait time where it’s mostly 45 minutes not the crazy 60-80 minutes that are the usual wait time for RSR
