Transfers are broken as shit on FM23. Impossible to sell players for even a 3rd of their value. They just leave on frees at the end of contracts or for peanuts. Hope they fix this, it ruins an otherwise good version of fm

In your first example, To start a bidding contest, take the best offer and suggest cheaper offter than that to others just to make bidding war kick start . Raise the prices bit by bit to encourage competition. Create low attractive bids to get them interested, so they join and you can slowly raise prices.

I am sure this was recorded a while ago, but Inter just had a big win so I “liked” it. So I am sure people know this tip, but I’ll put it out there just in case - in player search windows I often try to search and improve the mentality of a team, it really gives results fast. So when I take over a team not doing so well, I’ll take a lesser player “on paper” but one that has “professionalism” or “determined”, absolutely a “model citizen”. So it’s a poor team, probably financially problematic, and in the lower leagues. But taking one or two of those guys and then mentoring them to other players really improves the team performance, your rep and the team dynamic all at the same time. In a journeyman save, it makes things go a lot faster. Great attributes is fine, but you need some of those personality guys to grease the wheels. It doesn’t take long for other teams to really take notice and offer jobs if the team is more consistently good and the dynamic is professional - everyone trains well, attitude is good, good personal relationships, etc. Just my 2 cents.

An in-depth guide for player sales would be most welcome. I find it extremely hard to get good deals for reasonably good players that I want to sell.

Same here. It's very hard to generate interest, even from a single club let alone a bidding war. Problem is also that once you start offering a player out you often have to go through with it or he'll be upset for a while. Would be nice to be able to test the market a bit without all the fuss. The DoF lists are more or less useless to me. I wish they'd make it like "sell him for as high as you can negotiate, but this is minimum I'll accept" option instead of such strict ones. Say a club offers 40% of the value, you have him listed at 50%, DoF will reject and when you manually go to the same club for 40% they are no longer interested ... Not that listing someone as unwanted really works anyway, I get no deals most of the times, and the deals I do get are terrible.

the problem with installments in fm, in terms of realism, imo is that as a club, you usually have so much more money than you would in real life, its just unrealistic for a mid table bundesliga club to sign a player for 15mill what you can do with installments

the "discuss with agent" is stupid button that avoid yourself from getting players by cheaper wages. the fucking agent would refuse to discuss terms in the contract discussion if you hit that button before.
