My photoshop isn’t picking the colors, after I pick any color it shows black instead of the selected color.

Reset your foreground and background color to default black and white before opening gradient map

First Thank You for doing the video, With that said I agree with @agufranciscomedy1946 My photoshop screen did not look like yours from the first step. You moved from step to step too quickly. For instance when You said "control I" to invert the layer... That should have been written on the screen and zoomed in a shown to us. I was never able to get the black and white "inverted" back to color. If You are going to continue making videos please, SLOW DOWN for beginners or just say these are for NON beginners. Thanks

You can use any gradient. Just make sure the gradient is selected not the layer mask in front of the gradient. Look at it carefully
