Will Metamask be able to give you an overview where you did deposits without visiting the website and connect your Metamask wallet? There are so many dapps and services to try out - but how to keep track on them?

Thanks for all the informative videos DeFi, the gas fees are so ridiculously high right now, there is little room to experiment. So I'll just ask a simple question, if you have some DAI lying around right now, what is the best way to maximize your yield on that ?.. Using any of the DeFi platforms and considering all the additional token awards, which is the best one in your opinion, and let's be careful to pick one where we won't have to interfere, rebalance / shuffle between pools a lot because we don't want to incure any additional steps / fees other than absolutely necessary in the beginning (the fees are already ridiculous...) ?..

I think the simplest thing is a yield bouncer. It moves DAI pool to pool with the highest rate, so it's out of sight, out of mind. I personally have used the curve.if/iearn/deposit pool lately, but once your DAI goes into this pool, there's no promised you'll get it back with DAI so high in demand. If I am willing to sacrifice some % interest and prefer to only lend DAI, I'm better off using idle.finance or Staked RAY as yield bouncers.

Thank you for the explanation! One thing I've been wondering is what's in it for curve, dydx, and the rest of protocols by providing the community with such useful financial tools. I mean, it cannot be sheer altruism right? Is their business model getting commissions on transactions? and if so, wouldn't that factor contradict the decentralisation factor? hope someone can clear this out for me! thanks in advance

NOT AN EXPERT: But the incentive... is that most of these protocols issue no-value governance tokens. Eventually, the governance tokens may (or may not) decide to vote in a fee structure for the protocol that brings in fee revenue. Some of these protocols have significant retained token funds.

This is great information. I even learned things for Metamask which I didn't know. The limit was a great tip. I did not understand the gas and what you were looking at your phone. I wish you would explain that maybe in another video. I am very interested in CURVE but I was not able to undestand their website very well. why the gas rates are so high!! when i tried to yield in robo advisor its asking 18-19$ for gas and when tried the technique shown in video to lower gas price it's making the transaction fail which is making me lose money

Did you check the ETHgasstation.info? That helps to decide the right gas price. The ones I set in the video are changing constantly according to how busy the Ethereum network is.

Good catch. That's another new way to deposit one of the 4 stablecoins into Curve's Y Pool. 1) If I don't care about UX and I have stablecoins already in my wallet, curve.fi/iearn/deposit works great. 2) If I care about UX or I have other tokens like ETH I'd like to swap into stablecoins to deposit/stake with Curve Y pool, best to use zapper.fi -> Invest. 3) If I use Instadapp normally, my funds are already in my DSA (DeFi Smart Account - a special wallet in Instadapp) and I will save gas by just using this new Yield (iearn) option to deposit stablecoins.
