I am glad that i found this Chanel. You might not believe it, but i have held that very shaping jig. Glad to see it working. Definitely a fan of the old school traditions. And a "hats off" for your horse. Great job he did there.

Ty for the kind words. He and our other gelding are going to be getting a lot of camera time for sure.

I have a bosal for my gelding that was fitted I thought to him. I now know I have to go back and revisit that fit! Thanks for the great info!

Hi John, I just purchased one of these amazing shapers for my new bosal. I noticed that your adjustment is a little lower than mine. I actually have it as high as it will go. I'm guessing that your bosal might be a little bit shorter than mine. Everything is tight, and it immediately started taking the correct shape. I thank you so very much for the recommendation.

Thank you for sharing your video and tutorial. I've never ridden with a hackamore so this is very interesting. Can you please share why you choose to ride with one as opposed to a bit? At 71 I still enjoy learning even though I don't ride at this time.

The hackamore is a transitional training aid that is used to step a horse into a bit in the California bridle horse tradition and it also challenges you as a trainer to perfect your technique as any weaknesses in your training regimen will show up. I ride primarily for the tradition and the challenge of seeking refinement while staying out of the mouth of the horse.

Incredibly informative but are the leather straps not too close to his eyes?
