@@TazVibez that is doable what you need to do is w= L-6 L=L area of rectagle formula is (L*W)= whatever area there is given in the question = (L*L-6) = whatever area there is given in the question = L^2 -6l=whatever area there is given in the question = L^2 - 6L -/+ whatever area there is given in the question(depends on what is the area if it is positive then the the number on the other side will be negative and vice versa) Through this quadratic equation u can find the L of the equation and then u can subsitute L in the area and solve for the sides now for perimetre its much much easier w= L-6 L=L 2(l+l-6)= whatever perimetre is given 4l-6= whatever perimetre is given find the L through this and subsitute for Width thats it. My question is like 10 timer harder is just given with the perimetre thats it nothing like width 6 less than that or some bs

Here's another, (possibly) simpler method: We know that the Perimeter is 20. We also know that the shape is a rectangle, thus opposite sides must be of equal length. Knowing this, we can say that the measure of the length and width of a rectangle will equate to half the perimeter. We can then take the next step and divide our perimeter by 2. 20/2=10. We know that the length is 4. So, to find the width, we can simply add until we arrive at half the perimeter, which is 10 units. 4+6=10. The width of this particular rectangle is 6.
