Dada you are so right. Our lives seem incomplete because it lacks joy & love. An excellent idea to collect quotes & poems etc. Thank You for your guidance.

I give myself joy by listening to you, Dada! Joy is guaranteed when I listen to Dada. Other things I do and feel joy as a result are helping someone in need, listening to somebody, waking up early and doing my meditation, walking, doing yoga. Thank you Dada. Namaskar.

I had a very profound experience, a felt sense of love and acceptance and a presence of something all loving. I try to imagine that feeling again and try to offer that feeling back, although I don't see how I am capable of producing such immense love.

I understand this teaching so beautifully because this year I have been fortunate enough to find a small community of friends who all enjoy music and the culture that it brings. Furthermore there is no competition or jealousy between us and for the first time I have experienced friendships like this where we can be vunerable and try to help each other. The opening of my heart is helping me to go deeper with my meditation practice and I'm noticing so many positive changes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Dada 🙏🏼

this video helped me this morning. along my recent journey, "LOVE" has been a recurring thought. there is a christian song called "Love lifted me", love lifted me, these words coincide with this video, in my heart. i can practice lifting myself into love and out of the lower, darker chakras or darker energies which have been consuming my mind even in meditation. i will need to improve my environment to be conducive with "Love meditation" however, but i believe i can. Thank you 🙏

Namaskar Dada, i want to share my own practice to be in joy...i usually listen to music, go on outdoor pursuits, find some place near the seashore just to listen to the waves and also go to the mountain top to feel myself at the highest point

love is a shadow of freedom. very first step on the journey, Ahimsa is all about love and opening your heart. It is about going beyond your fears, beyond your personal borders as an individual. If this is all it takes to anybody to "do your meditation" (this sentence makes no sense of course, because you can't do it), at least you know where you stand. At the very first step. No matter how many years, how many hours you tried, that's where you are. at the very beginning. And there is nothing wrong with that, as long as you except it. If you think you are a meditation master at this stage, then yeah, there is a problem. because you are deceiving yourself and potentially others. if there is a goal, if there is a question of purpose, it is very clear indication, that Anahatha is not open to it's full extend. What is the purpose of love? Love is the purpose! what is the purpose of life? Life IS the purpose. For blade of grass, for a frog, for a bird, and for any living creature, you included. Once Anahatha is opened, you know this not intellectually, but existentially. It takes a lot of bravery to open Anahatha, because open means vulnerable. You need to drop all your defenses, all your protecting walls, in order to touch, you need to be ready to be touched. And it is not an easy task. But it is a first task never the less. talking about meditation at this stage, however, is way too premature. Only if you are mostly living in first 3 Chakras, you can find any purpose. Muladhara- eat, sleep, procreate, survive. Swadishthana - pleasure of all things Muladhara provides. Manipura - great achievements in the world. With Anahtha fully open, you drop the nonsense of purpose, because love is more then enough, life is more then enough. Then you go and explore life to it's full extend, not as a purpose, but as an existential need/curiosity and it has no end. you can get very far with hope, but you cannot go all the way with hope. Guatama Sidhartha became Buddha when he gave up all hopes and was ready to die. He said to himself - I will sit here and die, or I will get to know the ultimate truth. Where is hope in that? He didn't think - I hope for enlightenment, he left all hope behind. Hope can be your best friend, but at the very end you need to let it go. If you jump into an abyss of existence with hope, the very hope will bounce you right back like a trampoline to the spot from where you were jumping and nothing will happen. art, yes. But art is not what you do, art and creativity is a quality you bring to anything you do. Poetry can be rubbish or just a mental game with words, and at the same time house cleaning can became poetry. Yoga is the science and the art. If one of those two elements are missing, you can't be called a Yogi.

Is it possible to achieve these states of inner love and peace while feeling lonely? Sometimes negative feelings seem to overshadow the positive one. How does one channel this love while avoiding the emptiness?
@shreekantadas9632 ай бұрын
starting with gratitude 🙏🏽 one can open their heart by warm welcoming everything that is coming...also one has to be grounded as well...even one can serve others without expecting anything in return just like one is serving the brahma with brahmibhava
@jethrobradley78502 ай бұрын
It is absolutely possible to achieve these states in the midst of all kinds of emotional turmoil. It may take more time, practice and patience but it can be done. Be gentle with yourself. And don't neglect meditations which focus on compassion.
@johnasimakis79702 ай бұрын
@@jethrobradley7850 Do you know of any teachers or books that can help with that?
@jethrobradley78502 ай бұрын
@@johnasimakis7970 Ajahn Brahm (Theravada Buddhism) and Pema Chodron (Tibetan Buddhism) have both written books on dealing with anxiety and other negative states and, I'm sure, loneliness. Thich Nhat Hanh (zen) is another teacher to check out. I mention these people specifically because they talk a lot about emotions and the human condition and they emphasize kindness to oneself. In terms of practices, adding Metta Bhavana to your routine can be helpful. There are lots of guided versions of this meditation on KZbin. Good luck!

there is no perfect practice? you can get always better day by day Also let me say for meditation you dont need concentration, it requires focus and/or attention or maybe you can meditate on concentration too and work on those different aspects through being more mindful about it. Just my 5 Cents.

I appreciate this, but this is not meditation. at least not in its most simple form. maintaining the right posture and following the in and out breath is the most basic form of meditation. Not sure why u are talking about chakras that's definitely advanced. you shouldn't mention chakras at all if ur talking about basic meditation. Breathing in I know i am breathing in, breathing out I know i am breathing out. that's how you meditate. keep it simple
