@@howtowithmattany tips on getting davinci to save? everything was great and then it stopped saving, even when I go to close davinci and it asks if I want to save it won't save, so it won't close, if I view a browser window on top of davinci and then click on davinci to bring it forward it's just dead in the background. restarted my computer and nothing changed... ugh

Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it! When it comes to uncompounding a clip immediately after you can press “Ctrl Z” which will undo it. Otherwise, you should be able to right click on the clip and press “ decompose in place”

lets say you have a full video, and you clip the parts you want and remove the access content, there space between each clips, i know how to manually reconnect each clip with the magnet and dragging each clip to each other.. im wondering if theres a shortcut, lets say i clipped a whole 15min recording like 25 times or something like that. is there a quicker way to connect all given clips togethor besides dragging each one manually? I tried this. and if there was space between each clip it just showed up a black screen... I'm tryng to figure out a shortcut so i dont manually have to drag each given clip. yo nevermind i figured it out. u just go on the edit page, zoom out, select all the clips u want to delete the gaps inbetween then u see top left where it says edit, hit that then scroll down to "delete gaps" and it should work, worked for me atleast

There are multiple reasons to merge a clip but the main reasons I do it is to make it so multiple clips have similar sound quality, music, and lighting quality

That was an accident when I recorded the video. It was recorded in mono and that’s why it only comes across in one ear
