I recently watched your merging video & have been making some cool stuff, thanks! One simple but neat merge I havent seen was the nukashine keg merged with the water cooler. The keg covers the plastic water jug perfect & looks as if it is a nukashine dispenser. Definitely give it a try, looks super cool!

4:30 You can use the different workbenches you just need to support the overhang with a second container, the large weapon bench for example you take a second container spin it 180° and place them back to back then you can place the weapon bench on top. Grab the container that you will see if it also picks up the bench you can merge if it doesn't slightly adjust the weapon bench then try to pick up container again rinse repeat. I have all my benches matching 😁 so satisfying

I did it !!!)) there it is necessary to put a fireplace from a hunting house, put a rug on top, and on top there is a second fireplace that is constantly burning. i.e. with a rug.

You can merge all workbenches into that cabinet and still have them be functional. My current camp has every workbench merged into that cabinet and everything still works fine. Don't know if that is new, but just a heads up. Also, there's no need to wire the pressure plate, just place it and then move it 1 time and it won't need direct power wire.

You can put an weapons bench on doormat an then merge it. I use the big weapons bench and the I merge it with the high workspace cupboard. That high workspace cupboard is also fun. You can merge three lockers into it to create a different looking cupboard.

I'm not gonna lie I spent 2 days building my hq camp took time to do it all right based from an idea of a blueprint in my head. Looks like a brotherhood safe house with modern features 2doors with keypads at the font and a garage door at the back all at the front and back can open manually or using a computer master switch from inside the base Really epic I put the garage door at the back and the robo fetch in the middle of it right up to the door so when the garage door closes there no gap in between except the way to get in and out when it's open really cool in my opinion. Got a decontamination archway statues including the vault boy and girl ones an asteroid a crop area and a area for water purifiers have 5 so I can make 10 purified wat every 20mins or so. Always well fed all I need is a robot stien display case which I can get from test your metal event and a symptomatic to cure all diseases. Even got 2 lion statue and a water fountain statue outside the back of base I placed it inside a hole so it leans slightly looks really cool. Edit: I based my camp under a power connecter line at the back of powerstation where you get the fusion cores really good place for a lowkey base out of sight of enemies but in sight of the powerstation still. My base got attacked by a random supermutant group once and my defence slaughtered them got 8 heavy machine gut turrets and 2 missile turrets at the front with a blockade blocking the front stair way have to walk up from the side and around the foundation of the power line just to get to the doors I have one keypad facing outside one facing inside so you can enter manually leave manually or use the computer to open all doors. And close them Oh i also got the brotherhood lounge dining table and alien tubes etc.

I've done that on tables and it looks great! I also love merging the leafy potted tree (the one in the ugly blue and yellow pot) into the empty big white plant pot. The blue pot sticks out a little on one side, but if it's against a wall it looks great!

stupid question, but where do you find plans to build that cabinet/stash box that you used under the tinker bench?

The plan is called Cabinets, it's available from the Free States and Shopping Mall vendors in the Whitespring, as well as the Watoga Station vendor and Grahm. The Free States vendor in Berkley Springs Station might sell it as well. The vendor stock is slightly randomized, so if you don't see it just server hop and check again. Since it's a stash box plan, be prepared to shell out close to 700 caps for it.

With the small, long rectangular blue flowers planter, I managed to merge in the middle of it one of the red skull candles from the set hear, see, speak no evil candles. I did this without the pressure plate it just let's you put it there. I think you can do it with other candles, but I don't own any yet as I'm still a new player. Hope this helps someone 💜🌛🌕🌜💜

Great tutorial, gave me some good ideas. In previous merges I’ve done there were times where I can initially place items on the pressure plate but when I go to pick it up again to merge it says it’s unable to place down. Any tips on how to avoid that? It looks like you don’t have any issues

Sometimes you need to move things from side to side a fair bit with each click, it really depends on the item. I know I had another video where that happened (don't remember which, sorry) and I talked about it a little there. So if you try to click it after the first placement and it won't allow you to place it back down, try moving it around and see if it will let you.

Sounds like you're either not powering it properly, or something you're trying to merge is one of the few items that doesn't work (like the 'dirty' base game Nuka Cola machine) or you're putting items on it before you've connected the wire, not sure. Place a generator and a conduit, then the pressure plate, and the wire from pressure plate to conduit is the last thing you connect. Then you can put stuff on it. If it stops working or the light goes red, store just the pressure plate, then place and wire again.
