Im not sure if this is the problem, but I have 4 different effects mapped to button on so that when I press any of 4 buttons the effect changes. Unfortunately when i do the switch it only switches the effect requiring me to press the button again to turn it on. Any work arounds for this?

Great tutorial Chris, you are shedding light on exactly what i have been looking for. Step by step mapping of the Beatmasher effect you did in this video. I have Traktor Pro 2 and i would like to know how to duplicate those effects using my Traktor Kontrol F1, can you help me please. Thank you for posting. Rudy.

You can do it exactly the same way by putting the F1 in Midi mode. Or you can do the same by make a custom F1 mapping via the controller manager and the process should still be the same, just the commands will have names instead of midi notes.

Everything is working fine on my beatmasher one touch buttons except the fact when I press more than one, it doesn't show that amount of buttons in the modifier box with the numbers. Show another words, when I have two pressed, it's not registering on the modifier box. Can you help me out with the answer why?? Please.

Cano Jauregui I believe you simply map the Filter commands (from the Mixer menu) to whichever knob you wish to use and set it to be an encoder/direct. Works for me.

I'm having an issue where it takes two button presses to turn an effect on if the selected effect is not already loaded in the slot. After that it works perfectly with one button hold. Any ideas Chris? www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/instant-fx-midi-mapping-issue.225191/

Unfortunately this is a Traktor issue that doesn't seem to have a good solution. You can use the FX Store Preset command to get around this but I've found that it becomes a little unreliable if you use it on too many different effects. There are quasi-hack ways to design you mapping to get around this, most commonly is that I have some mode button changing all the effects that you inevitably have to press

Thanks Chris... I think I'll just have to get used to punching the button before I want to activate the effect. Hopefully NI will fix this. In my opinion the mapping interface is a tedious disaster and I would much prefer to do it in a scripting language! Keep the awesome videos coming!
