How to minimise background noise on SHURE SM7B & GOXLR

I've seen a few comments on this video, in all honesty it was a quick tip and didn't expect to have over 10k views on this, moreso 100. I grasp that using bass-roll-off isn't exactly fine tuning the microphone but it helped me and wanted to share. Obviously this can be tweaked in settings if you have a GoXLR etc, or using Reaper plugins on OBS. There's plenty of KZbin videos out there from people much more qualified then me to give tips on that. With all that being said, if this helps great! If not, watch a full EQ set-up video, inc noise gates and compression and you'll get good results. Cheers

This is not the way to reduce background noise, if you have background noise when using a SM7B mic your settings inside the GoXLR software are wrong. The SM7B naturally doesn't pick up background noise and its designed to talk really close into the mic. The only thing the bass rollof should do is reduce the ammount of bass in your voice. So by propper tuning your mic it would be fine.

The SM7B naturally doesn't pick up background noise" and yet someone on the Shure forum says "The MV7/SM7B/SM7dB, like any microphone, will "hear" whatever is in its pickup area. No microphone can distinguish desired sounds from undesired sounds."

@@badrul6887 False, if you tune it the right way it only picks up really close to the front of the mic, someone can be yelling in the same room and you wont hear it. But dont get me wrong, you can also set it "wrong" and hear everything like anny other mic. Most people set it incorrect, that is where those comments come from. Its a really good mic if your setup & tuning is right. ;)

@@Ossescher Why don't you just share your settings in bullets points form then cause i've looking for that very same issue for 5 days and a LOT a people seems to have the same issue so since we are all wrong why don't you help us fixing the issue by sharing your settings ?

какая задняя панель микрофона? О чем речь? Мне нужно убрать шум на данном микрофоне, но я не понимаю как это сделать. Ролики на ютубе не помогают пока что...
