Maybe this won't help much if you don't know any music theory, but follow the chords. Don't have chords? Maybe try following the bass instead and using your basslines to make melodies and chords off of.

Hello Mr B. Would you ever consider using a compressor over shaper box for the sidechain or do you rarely compress basses together? I.e on the main bass bus / group?

I have used a compressor to trigger a side chain for my bass before but I prefer Shaperbox [or similar] as I can carve the exact shape I want to get the perfect fit. I rarely but any compression on my basses, certainly not my sub anyway but I might add some light comp to glue my top basses together if I felt they needed it.

Is there anything similar to the scope visual effect pluggin as Vengeance requires some sort of dongle for it. Would rather purchase one asap. 👍
