I might have put a few sprigs of those weeds in front coming up out of nowhere to establish the foreground. I know you don’t do that in these seascapes, but maybe? As in your viewfinder early on. I tried sap green a while ago and didn't end up using it very much. I think I liked the greens I mixed from primaries better. Maybe I'll have to give it another try!

Do you ever see problems with lightfastness with Alizarin Crimson? Do you use a permanent alizarin? Much to my chagrin just realized how fugitive alizarin crimson is and i'm trying to figure out a good solution to replace it.

I don't use permanent alizarin crimson because it's not the same color and handles differently. I use genuine alizarin crimson. I've asked a bunch of my friends who paint professionally and they all use the real deal.
