Thank you for all this useful information. I like to actually see you do it. A few video tips: maybe you can share the same information in less time, and don't give unnecessary information, like it's raining. It's sad, but most people aren't interested in your personal life. Anyway, thanks! This was the first video I found that actually helped.

I've had the best luck adding my oil to an empty gas can and then measure the gas as I pump it --- it's so much easier and it mixes the oil as you fill up. I love that Valvoline! :)
@virginia71253 жыл бұрын
I've had the same can as yours in the video. They always swell when hot, and shribble up at night when it cools down, even if stored in a shed. I drilled a ¹/32" hole in the handle to vent it. Cured my problem. Bit came in a Dremel tool set. Winter storage can pull moisture or sour gas. I move left over gas to old Tru-fuel cans.

You cannot beat those “No “Spill” cans. I have two of them and they are great!
@ureasmith30492 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I prefer pouring oil first and letting the poured gas mix up the oil as it falls. Then a good shaking like you did.

Nice Video my friend. We don't have those "No Spill" containers here, very interesting.Remember, your gallons in the US are a different quantity used outside of the America. We in Australia and most other countries when using gallons are based on the Imperial measure (UK). Just a thought. You sure have a clean method when working. Nice and clear audio and video too by the way. Cheers John Purdy PS love it when you say "Uall"

Nice video man I like those gas cans and the nozzles on them. Where do you buy them and does those nozzles come with them or are they separately purchased.
@virginia71253 жыл бұрын
The cans come 2 ways. The whole assembly, and just the nozzle part. Not sure where my boss man gets them. The new ones now have a flat button as opposed to round on the older cans. Never seen them in yellow or blue to identify different mixes. Blue is normally kerosene and yellow diesel fuel.

Hello Again. In Aus we have unleaded fuel (Petrol) Base fuel is 91 Octane, then superunleaded at 95 Octane then ultra super at 98/99/100 Octane. Like you I use the highest possible octane available in my 4 stroke B&S and my McCullough Trimmers cheers JP
@jebova230110 жыл бұрын
Do you know if your rating system goes based on the research octane(like the UK uses), or does it go by the (r+m)/2 method? From what I have read, the 87 octane fuel we have at the pump has about a 92 octane rating on the research scale, the 89 has about 94, and the 93 has about a 98. It is because we use the research octane added to the motor octane, and then divide that number by 2 to get the (r+m)/2 octane number.
@anzacday414110 жыл бұрын
Hi, Fair question. Australia uses the World Wide rating system called RON (Research Octane Number). Look at this link for more Info. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating . Australia's current standard fuel is 91 Research Octane Number (RON) unleaded and most cars sold here since 1986 were built to accept it. However an increasing number of vehicles require 95 RON Premium fuel, while some high performance models require high-octane 98 RON fuel. I trust this explains the rating of fuels we use in AUS. cheers and good motoring John P

Can I use 92 octane in my Sthil for better performance?
@virginia71253 жыл бұрын
My boss told me to always use premium to mix up 2 cycle gas. Regular doesn't have enough octane. Non ethanol is preferred. If not available, use Lucas ethanol treatment in the gas. One ounce to 5 gallons.

are you still mixing your fuel or are you using vp on all your equipment
@lawnboy84616 жыл бұрын
I still do a fuel/oil mix for my two Lawnboys two gallons of Trufuel with 8.oz of Lawnboy 2 cycle oil and for all my Echo equipment I'll use Trufuel pre-mixed(50:1) fuel. I do use Trufuel in the Chipper/Shredder and my Pressure Washer because I don't use them that much and for the rest of the equipment I'll use regular gas from the gas station.

Be sure you are using 2 stroke oil meant for those motocross 2 stroke bikes. You can't use oil for chainsaws and weed wackers in a bike. Also be sure you are using 93 octane gasoline.
