Your mixing setup, with the small dishes set on a larger mixing surface, is BRILLIANT!! I've never seen anyone else do that, but I think it would work perfectly for the way I like to paint too. Thank you so much for this hidden super tip! I'm sure any type of containers would work, but I'd love to know more about your specific container/palette/plate/dish/mixing surface choices

Hi Louise. Jim from Madrid, Spain (a fellow artist and a New Yorker expat living abroad). I don't post much on YT (don't have a lot of time) but I love your channel and your Art and how you explain things from a didactic point of view (you have true art teaching skills), and you are one of my top 5 favourite watercolor artists. I am a Wildlife and Nature artist by heart, though I'm also growing into other areas (constantly evolving) such as humans and portraits and some urban scenes (I am learning for future projects that I have in mind with regards to nature... I know... but Its still in my mind). Anyways... You are one of my favourite Artists in KZbin with regards to animal & nature portraits in watercolor for your didactic way of helping people to learn how to use this difficult medium with nature and specially with animal portraits. I hope people understand your passion for wildlife and for nature and your efforts to show the rest of the world this great planet we live in and how much we should care for it as our HOST and all life within it. Thank you for sharing all of your passion to wildlife and nature, and to help all of us with your expertise and knowledge by sharing it in KZbin for all to learn from! Cheers from Sunny Spain! 😀👍😎✌

A frog in your throat, 😂. I love your frog and I learned a lot. I have a hard time telling if a color is warm or cool except obvious ones. I will check out your blog posts. Thank you, Louise!

Hugely helpful for me with learning how to mix more useful greens! I going to have to try writing down the various recipes of greens that you have given. I have been doing a lot more experimenting and reading up on how to make greens. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful information! 🥰

Hi Louise, how interesting and informative is this tutorial! I love the position of the frog that you used from Pixabay! Mixing the colour green is something very tricky. It means that we need to practice and practice, using all the different blues and yellow. As usual Louise this was so interesting! Thank you. Helene

Hi Louise. Very nice videos you have made available to us. Thank you. I looked at your green videos, and I do have a question. On your assessment of convenient greens you mention Permanent Sap Green (a very nice choice), and I was wondering where you would put Hooker's Green (Winsor Newton Professional: same pigements as Permanent Sap but leaning more yellow). I find that if I have Hooker's, by adding PY150 I get the permanent sap and more greens, so I only have Hooker's on my palette of 10 colors total. I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks in advance.

Droga Loise .
