How To Mix Vocals on Ableton Live 10 | Tutorial
I've received tons of requests to make a tutorial on mixing vocals on ableton live 10. So this is going to be a nice little introduction to anyone that has never mixed vocals before, or if you're just curious about how I do it. Even though I know I still have a lot left to learn with mixing vocals, I figured I'd share with you my process as of now :)

This was really good. All the other vocal tutorials on youtube seemed gimmicky or only applicable for vocals that already have a bunch of editing done one them (so just someone slapping a bunch of effects on a vocal lmao). This actually explained the basics/starting point of making raw vocals good! (especially the breath and volume adjustment on each part). You gave us your secret sauce.

Hey don’t know if I’m too late but a gate at the beginning of the rack would be really nice to block out any unwanted background noise and also eq before compressor so the vocals are cleaned before being compressed....Hope I helped in some way great video.

Thank you very much for your tips! Just one thing, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think you can do doubling like this (duplicating the track) as it will only add volume. You’re very welcome! And I greatly appreciate your feedback! 😄 Honestly I just go with what sounds good to me. I don’t worry too much about what’s the right or wrong way of doing things. If it sounds super muddy and distorted, I’ll tweak it till it sits well in the mix. I’m not an expert by any means. Any reason you don't change to the standard highpass shape on your low cut EQ? Also, if you don't delay-offset your vocal double, it just makes the vocal louder and can create phasing issues.

Instead of doubling your track just normalize the audio or bring the gain up on the track. Doubling the track is not adding presence it just seem that way because you increased the db level. Save processing power just turn up the gain on the track
