You can load more backups using the adapter and a larger micro sd card verses using the 2-4gb official ones 😁

do you need internet on the psp to make this work or only on the computer? and does it matter if have a larder card like a 64gb instead of a 32gb? and lastly if you do need internet how do I connect the psp to my wifi if it doesn't let me cause it doest support it?(I have Verizon)

Hi, you don't need a network connection on the PSP for this to work. You can use a larger card, up to 128gb but with higher capacities it can slow down the xmb. You won't be able to connect a PSP to a 5ghz network as the system only supports a 2.4ghz connection.

My 2nd time modding a PSP, I've tried running ARK 4, however in the wall of texts, it said it could not autodetect the device, I don't have a battery connected yet, and the PSP is running off the charging cable. Is this error because of the fact I'm missing a battery? Great vid

I have tried to change from ark 4 infinity to ark 4 cipl but when I try to use cipl flasher it say it does not support my psp model I have a psp 3000 model 09g do you know how I can fix it ?

Check your firmware version and make sure your on 6.61

You can't use cIPL on top of Infinity as it causes issues. Uninstall infinity first by reverting back to OFW 6.61 using Chronoswitch.

Games in the iso format need to be in a folder called "ISO" on the root of the SD card

No it's not required. You can remove the SD card to load files that way instead. However using a USB cable is far more convenient 🙂

Yes you should be able to remove it using Chronoswitch www.pspunk.com/chronoswitch/

​@@MCDNetwork he meant not to remove the CFW, but to remove the loader and installer files, which are totally safe to do.

Yes you can delete them with no issues. Deleting the ARK_01234 savedata is a bit different as some parts of the CFW are installed there. You can use the Full Installer to make sure that even if the savedata folder gets deleted you still have most of the CFW functioning.

yes,you do need the adptor if want to play with 128gb sd and when pop it in and not to press on sd card it's self or it will go in toofar and break the adaptor.

problem solved, the memory card i used was the problem somehow (it was a Pro-HG Duo), swapped it with a Pro Duo and all was working

ARK -4 is the Newest method for modding a PSP, and will be the only method supported going forward as infinity has been retired

well for the psp you need to the psp iso games inti the iso folder and not game folder then they won't show up.

You'll need to use an app called Chronoswitch to install the official 6.61 firmware before installing ark custom firmware.

The m33 is custom firmware, you'd have to revert to stock firmware using Chronoswitch. Then you can update it to 6.61 normally from there

Yes, just skip the part for updating to 6.61. I recommend getting a sd card adapter so you can have more storage for games, but you could use the stock one if you want.
