I never played Skyrim or Skyrim VR, but after seeing the 2024 video in my feed I grabbed the game during the Winter sale. Then this video arrived when I was going thru the 2024 modding video. Can't wait to finally experience for the first time what so many other's have enjoyed all these years!!

@@DeadPixelGaming Thanks! I installed the four mods in this video using 'Skyrim VR - mod organizer', but if I start over and use Vortex for everything are there known problems? I'm confused why you use different mod managers (Wabbajack, Skyrim VR - mod organizer, manual install to Vortex) in your videos instead of simply allowing Vortex to install everything, which is my preferred method for modding games. If I'm going to be dealing with hundreds of mods for Skyrim, isn't using Vortex the simplest approach, or is there a catch? Individually installing/uninstalling & turning 'on' each mod in 'Skyrim VR - mod organizer' looks like it would be insanely tedious past about 20 mods, but I am not familiar with it's features.

Wabbajack isn't a mod organiser it's a modlist compiler and it runs through Mo2. I've made guides on both Mo2 and Vortex. Vortex is more user friendly, however Mo2, whilst being more complex, has more features and can work better in many instances. Disabling mods in Mo2 is just as fast as in Vortex. Its just down to preference really.

The great thing about Mo2 is how easy it is to run separate instances. So I can have FUS and MGO on two different Mo2 instances and switch between them on the fly.

I tried to follow another tutorial a few months ago but gave up becuase it just got too complicated. Now when i try to launch the freshly installed game (while following your much easier to understand tutorial) it just says "skyui error code 1. SKSEVR is not running and will not work correctly". I can't get past this screen... any ideas? I already uninstalled Vortex. Edit: I fixed this error by just deleting the skse file from the Skyrim folder. Now I can start fresh with this quality tutorial.

Hi, I followed the video step by step but when I go to mod configuration in game only 3 mods are showing: Vrik, sky UI (which I don't see what it changed menus are the same), and realistic waters. None of the other mods show up. In the mod organizer, it shows its installed and everything seems correct. Any thoughts?

DynDOLOD has two main files, the first is "manual download" can you show us how to install this? Another question, have I to install the second main file too? Hey, Yes you need to download all the prerequisites. I actually didnt end up downloading it in the end, It is a good mod and I've ran it through automated mod lists. Check their nexus page for instructions on how to install, I didnt want to make the guide too long.

Hey everyone, I’m using a Quest 3 with a 7900 XTX GPU and a Link cable, and while there’s no lag, I’m running into an issue where everything in VR looks blurry-especially objects further down my line of sight. The blurriness isn’t consistent either; it alternates, clearing up in some areas while getting worse in others. When I view Skyrim VR on my monitor, it looks perfectly sharp, but in the headset (via the Oculus PC app), it’s nowhere close to the same quality. Here’s what I’ve tried so far to fix the issue: 1. **Oculus Debug Tool Settings**: - Adjusted `Pixels Per Display Pixel Override` (1.5 to 2.0). - Increased `Encode Resolution Width` to 4064. - Set `Encode Bitrate` to 400 Mbps. - Disabled ASW and tried setting it to Auto. 2. **AMD Adrenalin Settings**: - Enabled Image Sharpening (set to 80%). - Disabled Radeon Chill, Enhanced Sync, and Vertical Refresh. - Ensured Anti-Lag was enabled. 3. **Oculus App Settings**: - Maxed out the refresh rate (tried 90Hz and 120Hz). - Set the render resolution slider to maximum. 4. **Connection Checks**: - Tested multiple high-quality USB-C Link cables. - Ensured my Wi-Fi and system setup were optimal. Mad gods overhaul will have all of these mods or at least most of them. MGO 3.0 was released a while ago and has a lot more mods too. You can add mods to your MGO install don't forget, just make sure they don't conflict

Right, and to be sure you've looked at my latest guide because you used to be able to use the base mod SkyUI in VR, now you can't. You need SkyUI - VR.

@ yeah I did make sure it was the specifically sky UI VR however it still says in vortex that some dependencies are missing and it shows sky UI VR and it says it depends on Skyrim script extender Babylon, which is installed specifically the VR version but it still won’t work

Ok, you gloss over something that's probably quite important. Does it matter which drive this game gets installed to? You just installed it to your "fastest" drive, but doesn't this whole thing have issues if you install it to your C drive? You didn't warn about that at all?

My fastest drive happens to be my M.2, which does not have my OS on it. If you install your game on the same drive as your OS then it gets installed automatically in programme files which (theoretically) should make Mantella not work as Windows doesn't like files in programme files to be changed whilst being executed. That being said, I have done this a million times on an install through programme files both for Fo4 and Skyrim and never had issues. This is why I don't mention it.

All this does for me is add arms I did everything you did exactly as you did and all I have are arms no other menus are added other than vrik, skyui, and apocalypse magic. I added all your recommended mods as well and still nothing. MO2 doesn't seem to be showing me any errors either everything seems fine. Is there something I'm missing before booting? and yes, the install is a fresh one no previous save or mods either, everything new.

not every mod has a menu, so as long as every mod is checked and there is no problem, then everything works. you can see what the mods do specifically also if you wanna double check if they actually are implemented.
