I believe she is working on a partially dried surface of clay, and that she will allow the finished piece to dry to leather hard then kiln-fire the entire piece. I am guessing. Those of us working in other types of clay --such as air-dry, polymer (oven-bake), or plasticine (oil/wax) --- will need to experiment. -- name suggests German helpful? Ich glaube, sie arbeitet an einer teilweise getrockneten Oberfläche aus Ton und lässt das fertige Stück zu Leder hart trocknen und dann in einem Hochtemperatur-Keramikofen brennen. Ich rate. Diejenigen von uns, die mit anderen Arten von Ton arbeiten - wie Lufttrocknen, Polymer (Backen im Ofen) oder Plastilin (Öl / Wachs) - müssen experimentieren.

I was wrong! she is using Chavant NSP, which is of the Oil and Wax variety - actually NEVER dries. easier to research as *Plasticine* and we will have to find out how to adhere to substrate.

I used a piece of wood for the parquet flooring, it attached perfectly.

I used a piece of wood floor, it does not need any preparation because it is already lacquered. This type of clay adheres well to materials that are as smooth as possible.
