hello i fallowed all the steps and when it came to the time of selection hallow core slab after presing the split button it gives me an error saying "Hollow core slab with invalid thickness. Change the selected template family in Config or adjust the thickness of the slab to match." does anyone know why i cant figure it out

Hi! Is normal that the starting structural floor stays in place? Is it possible to hide or delete it? In order to add concrete between slabs would it be better to add a 2D hatching? Thanks!

Hi Giorgio, Yes - the default function will retain the existing floor as well as create a new Hollowcore plank elements for the floor slab - up to you if you want to retain the original floor or now. You could opt to use 2D items if you wish, but generally fro ma project informatio ncontrol perspective I would not recommend it. Hope this helps! Niall

Hi there - unfortuantely the add-in was not in place for 2020 at the time of recording. I know however that they have updated the Autodesk Desktop app to include the add-in jsut last week. Is there any significant difference between using the notch family and simply sketching the openings around each column on the slab tool?

No major difference, except the notches can be added later in the work flow so can accommodate potential unforeseeable design changes (changing floor footprint sketch after the Hollowcore units have been created can cause integrity issues / void extrusions fail to be created) . You can draft the notches while sketching the footprint of the floor and the output will be the same. Hope this clears things up Gabriel 🙂
