Instead of the helix can I use another tool because I need to make spiral stairs in square shape space.

I have never seen anyone make make a rhino staircase, where the guiding shape (in the middle) is other than a cylinder or a vertical line (like yours). How to start creating a helix that has angular sides (center shape is a squarish block with rounded corners)?

Nice! But I would do this by duplicating one complete stair rather than repeating each step 13 times :)

hey, thanks, but, sorry, these stairs are not solids, they are polysurfaces, how do i make them solid? thanks

Hi Luis, you have both open polysurface and closed polysurface. It's up to you to decide if you want it closed or not. If you want to check where the edges are you can use command called "ShowEdges" That wiill show you any "naked edges" that you might have in the model and you will know then how to close it and make a solid geometery.

@@HowtoRhino Thanks. -i actually did that and there were no naked edges. I wanted to export this to autocad 3d and all I got imported was wireframe splines. No solids.
