Novella I am so thankful for your videos and advice. I've been blessed with 2 daughters with heads full of dense hair and it's been a struggle with my older. But learning so much from you. My younger is 7months old now and her hair is so long so this is great. Going to be diligent with regimens for them both. God bless you sis ❤

Hey Novella, thanks for this video, so helpful! Quick question what type of hair bands would you recommend for styling please x

Hey Chinwe, you're welcome! I'm glad this video was helpful. I would recommend ouchless hairbands, however please don't tie them tight or use them back to back 👑

@@ncbynovella when you say back to back what do you mean? I wash my little ones hair every 2 weeks and redo the same hair style which is rubber band squares all over her head. what I am running into is the very front isnt as dense as the rest of her hair retaining legnth but those two twists in the front arent getting thicker like the rest of her hair. I dont pull the hair tight and I oil the rubber bands before putting them in her hair

Thanks for the tips. My 3months old is already loosing hair. Can I use cream on her now.

You're welcome, I would suggest identifying why your LO is losing hair in the first place and ensure you have an effective regime in place before the cream. If you need help please feel free to book a hair audit call with me: naturallycrowneduk.squarespace.com/hair-audit-call

Hi! Are puffs a good style to protect the hair and retain moisture for a 6 month old?
@ncbynovella3 жыл бұрын
Hey sis, I would do puffs once in a while when you're going out somewhere and then stick to twists or plaits for example majority of the time to help with moisture retention. 👑
@claudiaakosuaajayi34203 жыл бұрын
I love this! I’ve been putting my 9 month old’s hair in plaits usually 10-11 but I’ve never thought about Bantu knots to protect the ends. Do they bother her when she’s sleeping?
@ncbynovella3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much sis, no not at all. Her hair isn't that long so there isn't alot of hair to wrap. For example if it was my eldest daughter, she has so much hair it would most likely bother her while sleeping. 👑

Ok my big takeaway was how much sectioning and massaging the cream in you do. I was just putting some cream in my hands and putting it all over the head in a matter of seconds! Oops

Using rubber band bad? I usually use rubber bands to hold the bantu and gently remove them when hair is wet to avoid any breakage.
@ncbynovella3 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily bad but they can cause breakage if used incorrectly. I wouldn't recommend using them back to back and when using them like you wrote you've got to be gentle, not tie them tight and cut them out when removing 👑
@Simplylauroid3 жыл бұрын
@@ncbynovella thank you so much will stop using them back to back

Naturally Crowned UK she use to never really mind me in her hair but she is getting active whenever I have her between my leg she would lean back in my lap she will be 6 month soon. Seen recently I start to incorporate conditioner in her hair because there is a patch of her hair in the back that’s Dryer than the rest.

How do u avoid lint when using rubber band 😑?
@ncbynovella3 жыл бұрын
Ah yes makes sense, when they start crawling and learning to walk it gets harder to do their hair but this is when training comes in. You have to train your LO so she gets use to you doing her hair again. That's what I did with my oldest two and what I'm doing with my baby now, I'll make a separate video on how I do this.
@ncbynovella3 жыл бұрын
Lol you can't, it will build up. If you want to avoid it you'll have to stop using elastic bands 👑
