I could say that I am a student in working with Vegas)) That's why I need some help. The thing is that Ive done everything you showed in this video. After that I clicked on the "Copy motion track to PiP" button but a small window opend with this information - "You must first apply the Bezier masking plug-in to on of the selected events and add motion tracking data for any mask" The question is - how to make what it says?

Ohhh man. No words to describe. It works perfect (old time vegas user here. Actually coming from Acid 1.O and soundforge then long time forward used even Mocha tracking with a Boris plugin for ages...) So.... now in vegas 18 I had no idea tat the tracking was on this high level. Many thanks! Even works when the tracked field gets covered here and and there... the system coped with it without any adjustment. Best surface tracking method around. And comes with perspective. Aaaand does the job precise. Very precise on shaky footage as well. Just had no idea this method was hidden in the effects. Love the picture in picture then copy menu in the options LOL. @@DatoAliffAlex Make tests by adjusting the bitrate. Thats the key component: bit rate. Around 5 megabits you are totally okay with a 2K HD video to share and upload. But you see the quality loss a bit as it starts under 1O megabit. Of course to keep your rendered video re/usable for later work render it above 20 megabits.

what about bezier masking a person? So not only face but the person himself? I have vegas pro 17 and tried this but can't get a good result. If the person starts to move his hands the masking is not good anymore. Maybe I set the wrong settings under the options of the tracking?

For now, VEGAS Pro 17 can’t pin point an object in the middle of the screen. But it is possible to do it in VEGAS Effects. I’ve make a tutorial about “Lock Stabilisation” recently, maybe that video will help you.

Unless you mean as the gun scope moves up and down, you want the cross hairs to stay in the middle while moving with the scope?? In that case, just make your motion tracking box big enough to include the scope, then add an image like he did in this video and put it in the middle, and do what he did where he copies the motion into the picture (which would be the cross hairs you add in), and it will move when the scope moves.

Yes you can, as long you are using latest build of VP17 and the video source have high res data for it to read. VP18 soon will have dedicated Motion Tracking, which is not bind with Bezeire Masking. Stay tuned :)

Any trouble try render it by first dropping the VEG file (!) yes the veg file into a new project! It fixes most render issues and collapses. Actually I have to render everything this way. (Nesting it called but dont bother just drop the veg file to a blank vegas project always.) (Then render)

The bezier mask can hold up to 6 Mask/Tracking data at once. But you have to do it 1 by 1, not everything simultaneously. Keep in mind this is Mask base tracking, not Pixel base tracking. VEGAS Pro is not compositing software to import blender objects. You have to use composition software like VEGAS Effects, After Effects, NUKE, Fusion that support 3D element.
