How to Mount an Attacker in a Street Fight

Learning how to mount your attacker in a street fight is crucial for your survival.
You really want to avoid mounting your opponent with both your legs on the side of his body like taught in traditional mixed martial arts. This will prevent him from grabbing one of your legs and possibly bring you down on the ground.
A better option for mounting your attacker, is to place one knee on the chest of your opponent.
You don't need to get too technical, once you have one of your knee on the sternum of your opponent you are in a much better position to strike him and/or get back up quickly to face a possible multiple attacker situation.

6'4" 220# 72 y/o law professor attacked outside grocery store. GUESS WHAT? Former USMC SGT. broke 1st attacker's knee (by stepping on his knee/leg) as 1st attacker cried out in paid; Hans STOMPED on 2nd attackers foot and used the 'heel-palm' technique to drive attacker #2's nose into his skull. The two were lying by Hans' van, crying and moaning. (Hans was GERMAN but his accent mimicked The Terminator!) He said, "You may want to hobble to the nearest phone and call for an ambulance." (Hans informed the store manager of the ''fight'' so the two punks didn't accuse HANS of starting the b.s.) NICE STORY and TRUE. hans d. poepplau RIP

Great! but what about your "groin"? I mean, in the video, how do you stop him from using his left hand to hammer fist your balls or squeeze them?

***** There's always a possibility to get hit in the groin...but while mounting the attacker...I would most likely be striking him at the same time, limiting the chances of him being able to strike the groin. Thanks for your comment and stay safe.

Manuel G. (a ''golden gloves'' boxer) was told by Mgmt. to knock me out--but "be sure you're OFF the clock." I had 1 hand in my apron pocket/1 hand holding my before-shift-coffee. After several rude/untrue remarks, I was sucker-punched by Manny. Trouble is: He didn't knock me out! (I played Varsity level FOOTBALL for 3 years H.S./2 years college) Right offensive guard/nose tackle & middle linebacker. Weight room king. Track runner. Shot putter. (I was FIT.) 100 situps every a.m./50 pushups/free weight workout/shower EVERY am After Manny's puny shot to the left side of my face, I picked myself up, rushed him and had him ON THE GROUND and was pounding his head onto the concrete floor. YAY I was the only one fired. BUT I got my job back. Fuck you LOU T. (managar)--he's IN HELL today. The knee on stomach does exist in BJJ and MMA, too. On the street, I woudn't mount the opponent. I want to finish as quick as possible, so I destroy the opponent while standing and after if he fell on the floor, I finish with a stomb. He won't stand up and it takes just a second, so you can deal with his friends.
