In this tutorial we show you how to properly mount and dismount your Nanoleaf Light Panels. Mounting is easy with the double sided mounting tape, so if you follow these instructions you'll have a perfect installation in no time!

I installed mine with the last strips being covered by the controller. It's a little hard to explain, but all I have to do is remove the controller and I have access to the very first set of strips and in that manner, none of the strips are exposed.

Quick question: do you have to pull of the foil that says "wall side" or do you have to leave it on?

You peel off the "wall side" cover after you have it properly stuck on the light panel and you're ready to put on the wall.

The Mounting Tape solution is only for smooth flat walls, for a textured surface we recommend using the Screw Mount Kit!

you should had the 3m stickers popping out from your canvas if you planned to remove them in the future. that would be easier. i learn from just sticking my first panel on the wall. when i tried to remove it, the paint peel off because i pull it towards me. hence , the sticker should be placed sticking out of the canvas for easier removal by pulling sideways. i know it may look untidy but hey , as long as it doesn't damage the wall . im good =)

Amazing product but instructions 100% need an upgrade. The instructions make it seem like you pull on the tabs after you install it to remove the ends sticking out. But its not that. DON'T PULL ON THE TABS. This video show its for removal. If you are 100% sure you want it on the wall forever, just cut the ends and stick it to the wall.

Bose 1270 yes, you hide the first one under the operator (pokey out bit with the wire) and then hide the rest under each others panels( if you get what i mean)

@@NameLessMOnster901 We recommend putting 3 pieces per panel, so you would need 27 pieces all together. The tapes are called 3M Command Tape, so you can likely find them on the Amazon in your region under that name :)

Good call, trust me :p I ended up getting the mounting kit because they fell off the wall after a few weeks one by one and then I ended up with a few dozen holes in the wall for the screws. Either way you do it, it is not pretty. Your way sounds like the best approach.

I cannot express how disappointed I am with this product it doesn’t only have extremely bad connection issues. The 3M stickers they give you to attach it to the wall are so powerful that if you try and take it off it rips the paint right off the wall. I won’t be going near this product again lifx or any of the competition would be much more appropriate, don’t bother

So I have this set and my walls are textured, so I bought the screw mount kit for them, but I can't seem to find something online that says how to dismount these with that kit. There's a flush piece of plastic that covers the screw and I am unable to get those out, rendering it impossible for me to remove most of my shapes. How can I remove it?

It is this easy AT ALL and my panels didn't even come with the particular type of 3m tape as shown in video. The tape also ripped the paint right off my wall. This was an extremely expensive investment that I'd hade for months but still haven't been able to enjoy. Do better, Nanoleaf.

Nanoleaf Nanoleaf please help!!!! So, my canvas panels are on and working as normal and then all the lights start flashing white, and the ‘power’ button flashes randomly blue. It does this for about 5 minutes then connects again and shows the scene for 1 minute, and then start flashing white again and it repeats over and over! What is this and how can I stop it?

The manuals that come with the hexagons tell you to press in a circular motion with your fist and I’m sure that did nothing for me but ended with my panel 5 minutes later on the floor with the controller across the room. If we just pressed hard BUT HAND FLAT AND STILL like in this video, would that suffice?
