For most boat lifts up to to 6k capacity (with or without a canopy) we recommend two of our floats (14 strips), or for hydraulic/ cable hybrids 2.5 or 3 floats in strips. It is more about balance at that point and how high it rides on the water’s surface, for better shallow water clearance before you run aground, even if it will float with fewer pieces.
