Thanks again David. As a relative noob to iRacing, these are invaluable, as there's surprisingly little out there on KZbin for these types of things. And thank you for making them easy to find on your Playlists on KZbin. I am still even a little overwhelmed by the menus on the home screen, never mind all these hidden secrets ! Things like changing the camera in replays, or how to view the incidents etc - I have no clue.... and I can't be the only one ? Looking forward to the next video already. Cheers !

How do you hide certain overlays? For instance, if I use third party overlay for flags, is there a way to hide in-game flags?

2 years late, but if you go into settings and then either option or misc (can't remember), there should be several check boxes to hide certain things. I don't think you can hide the flags, so your best bet is to hide it behind one of your 3rd party overlays (one that won't disappear) and of course adjust the opacity to 100% (or transparency to 0%).

Thank you for making such great tutorials. When I access my app.ini file, the graphics portions are almost non existent. They are limited to: [Graphics] serverTransmitMaxCars=20 ; Limit number of cars transmitted to client (values from 10 to 64) [Graphics DX11] EnableHiddenLoadMode=1 ; Allows the BetaUI to display the sim's loading screens uiSafeMode=0 ; iRacingUI: Disable advanced graphics? 0=auto 1=yes 2=no Is this normal? Thank you!

It's now in the renderdx11.ini file - under user options. Note: there are multiple versions now e.g. monitor, vr, etc. You might need to edit separately.

Thanks David. Really appreciate the video. Question - I have two monitors (a wide screen and a small monitor next to me). I would like to move the graphics adjustments screen to the small monitor however under my graphics section in the app.ini file there are not the choices you mention in the video. I am assuming because I do not have a three monitor setup. Can we still move these with a two monitor setup with only one monitor showing the iracing screen. Many thanks for your time.

how do you keep your black box elements in different positions for different cars with different dash types. When I move one of the Black box windows then I go to a different car and it's in a position that I can't use. Is there a way to make this car dependent rather than global?

This is good haha I generally drive around until the right overlay pops up and try to move it before it disappears. Getting sector delta's in the right spot took a few tries. Any chance you can cover VR compatible 3rd part overlays in the future? (not sure if you have access to VR)

Just a clarification question. Once I move these items where I want them, will I need to move them each time I exit the sim and come back in? Or can I set them where I want and they will stay there moving forward? Basically once I move them, will they stay where I put them or will I need to move them each time I play the sim? It wierd but their is lesser graphics options in the app.ini and I can change it to "1" 😫 All sorted the setting is in the Dx11 file not app.ini

Hi Ben, yes you can in the Graphics settings you can change the UI zoom and this will lower the overlays size.

2024 and I have literally NONE of the options under graphics as I see here. There is one line referring to car counts. serverTransmitMaxCars=63 ; Limit number of cars transmitted to client (values from 10 to 64) I am looking for a manner to remove/move the two exist cockpit icons - the circle and the man. I see they disappeared when you made the ini changes here. Thanks!
