A big question I've been getting lately is which tier 3 perk is best for movement in Vanguard, Lightweight or Double Time? Today we break these down in great detail to find out which one you should use! What do you think of the balance between these perks?

Warzone. Xclusive is the undisputed goat for MP but it felt like an identity crisis when warzone came out, splitting content across. JGOD popped off since he capitalized on the warzone craze and specialized on that.

Always look for to these comparison videos. My personal experience it felt like Lightweight helped me more in every single way. This video just confirmed how much it does. Minus the fact that USUALLY.....USUALLY the first perks given arent really that much of use after a few months of the game being out as we find better options or we've gotten good enough where we dont need that given perk.

Literally take out Radar perk and just implement that perk into the actual radar and switch it out for hardline or lightweight. I can easily tell this game is gonna get a major perk rework like MW2019

Seems the perks in this game follow very strict categories: Perk 1: all the "top tier" perks Perk 2: awareness perke Perk 3: the misc perks everyone forgets about Putting lightweight/double time into perk 2 greatly breaks this flow. Although I don't like the idea of radar as a perk either

it might depend on the weapon, maybe some guns have a poor base movement but tactical sprint is still overall a better movement option, maybe you could also pair this with gung-ho since it takes away the tac sprint extra sprintout. Also, some people like crouch walking. (Shield users) I think people who need to move quickly but infrequently (snipers, for example) will like double time, people who like moving constantly (SMGs, Shotguns, knives) will like lightweight

Depends on what you're going to be doing. Are you straight running the entire time with no stopping until you see an enemy? Lightweight. Are you playing on Oasis/Berlin/DesertSiege/Demyansk etc. and need to sprint from piece of cover to piece of cover, while occasionally posting up? Double time. While lightweight is applied more often because it is a general bonus to movespeed, double time has so much more validity than what this video would have you believe.

Because everyone is just so used to MW. Same with me, i dont care that Lightweight is technically a little faster, im still using double time, especially in SND. Tac sprint is one of the best things cod has done in these recent years and doubling it makes it even better. It was undoubtedly the best perk in MW and was a lot of people’s go to perk, so of course people will still use it

@@alexanderbollens3651 because I dont care about sprint out time. I really only play snd. I need to be able to sprint for as long as possible to get around the map quicker. In regular modes I could see why one would choose lightweight, but in snd, double time is a necessity if you want to beat your opponent to a line of sight.

Like the video showed there was little to no difference besides crouch walking and even then Lightweight was still better on slide canceling so why use double time

IF YOU SLIDE CANCEL TWICE IN A ROW YOU WILL GET THE INSTANT TAC SPRINT FROM MW. Combine that with double time, and it’s really effective for getting around the bigger maps but generally I stick to lightweight just because the TTK is so low in this game, if you get caught in your tac sprint, you’re dead 100% of the time

As a knife runner lightweight and ninja is just such a fun and worth it combo because the knife movement speed it fast. Then light weight makes it even faster. Then the no sound from ninja is just spooky. I love it.

My new movement tech is now to equip the Bayonet attachment and Lightweight perk. I start out w/ a tac sprint into a Bayonet charge, and then slide cancel to get the tac sprint back. Rly helps be get around corners and safely clear my path. Add reach proficiency and it's cheesy af. :D

I think the slide cancelling with double time doesn't work as well because there is a longer delay between tac sprints compared to MW/WZ

Lightweight in MW2/BO2 was 7%, Agility in Ghosts was 10%. However, BO4’s Lightweight was only 4% and was also notably only for sprinting, not all movement speeds. So definitely happy to hear that this one also applies to movement across the board like in the past, thanks! I’ll definitely be sticking with Lightweight.

I remember bo3 where there was neither lighweight nor marathon so everybody would move equally fast (when using the same weapon of course). Which was probably because so many people used lightweight in bo2 which helped a lot given the broken camera angles in that game.

As a shield user I’ve been pondering which is actually more helpful since you should crouch with the shield, but since your head sticks out either way even when crouching, lightweight seems like the move since I want to rush anyway.

The fact that BOTH of these perks assist really makes no sense at all. On TOP of this, if both of these perks are in the same exact category....one of them is bound to be 100% useless because they in essence, provide the same kind of bonus. If they SEPARATED these perks, it would have been at least a really cool idea because you "Could" make yourself REALLY FAST but they would come at the cost of lets say no dead silence, tac mask, flak jacket, or ghost. Make the movement really compete with competitive perks and it would have been a really cool niche concept. This game is doing so many weird things wrong and it kinda blows my mind the community does not see how gimmicky and weird this game is.

Shouldn't be any sort of surprise, especially with the long durations between starting the tac sprint and refreshing it. Lightweight helps all the time, including the slide cancel itself, Double Time doesn't. The only few uses I see for Double Time is covering very short distances for positioning in SnD or if Warzone doesn't have nearly as much of a delay on tac sprint. Even for the average SnD player, Lightweight with Ninja or Dead Silence will always be better than crouch walking with Double Time.

Can you check the Dead Drop proficiency. It appears you can only get your killstreaks once per game (if you top out) If you dont top out you can get the first two repeatedly

The numbers seem off for the tac sprint test. It's mentioned that the base sprint is 8% faster than base. Adding a tac sprint before that with lightweight makes you only 3.7% faster than no movement perk? You are normal sprinting for over half of the 40m so it seems like it would be higher than 3.7%? Am I missing something?

I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned but lightweight has one more added benefit and that's this: An increased movement speed will increase the effectiveness of cameraing a corner via jump shot or slide cancel. In combination with other movement augmentation you can annihilate cameras in this game.

I like that lightweight helps counter movement speed penalties on guns other than that I imagine double time is better but I think I prefer lightweight as it’s always helping and even helping when crouched I assume while double time only helps movement speed while crouched
