I was in a similar situation and had the same mindset, same social anxiety. Parents that shelter their kids and make them only study study study are really opening the door for other problems. Glad you got out.

I was having an inner debate about this topic and then this video just randomly showed to me as soon as I opened KZbin. Thanks for sharing your journey, it is very similar to mine hahah (even the waitress part)

@@rozmeloz hahah it's no big deal honestly, just realizing how different I am from my family and how at some point there isn't really much you can do. Getting tired of being just the daughter, the sibling, etc, and seeing that the only option is getting your own place because your family won't change. We look a bit alike a little and I also started to think about moving to Canada in maybe 5 to 6 years, so I thought it was interesting hahah

If you don't mind me asking, how did you move to another country? Most countries need someone to sponsor your visa (an employer can for example).

I moved out of home when I was 18 because I got a job and paid rent. From the age of 12 I had a paper round and worked cleaning in a hotel at weekends. I saved half the money I got and spent half. My parents taught me how to cook, clean and maintain a building, all by the age of 18.
