Feels like cv2 makes things a lot more simple and accessible I don’t see why some people didn’t like it all that much at first it was probably because it changed how you did things compared to how they used to be I think even if it was better it’s like a child learning a 2nd language compared to an adult a child has a easier time absorbing things like languages or concepts that are different than what they are then so new players might have a easier time grasping it and cv1 felt like something you learned in college like how every component to a computer works or how planes fly weighing a extreme amount which made it harder for me to figure it out I kinda wished that the cv1 had more hand holding by rec room itself Also I’d love gestures like grip to activate things like mods in blade and sorcery my favorite is the ward mod can’t wait for people to figure it out such as maybe a thing clamped to your hand maybe a trigger volume if hit boxes on the hand had three on them I’m gonna have fun flying around soaring as well I’m kinda scared about the player thing because of motion sickness in vr although opens a lot more possibilities for shorts in rec room such as force choke

I made this design in a little testing room and it was amazing! I went with a magic theme and made a controllable fireball with a grenade inside to deal damage to players in my upcoming pvp game ;). I also laid out some wizard staffs to add to the fantasy vibe. I just wanted to know if it’s possible to get an output for a player that is holding an item with a specific tag. This would allow me to have the hand-controlling happen only when a player is holding their staff. Edit: I figured it out :D

You could create a trigger volume that is clamped to something and connect the entering arrow to the target in the set velocity setting. This way when the user is holding the object, they are the one being controlled.

@@goldenmike1813 It’s still in development, playtesters had a hard time learning the mechanics even with the in-depth tutorial I made. So because of that, I’ve placed the placed the project on the back shelf for now while I work on other stuff. If I think of a way to make it more intuitive and easy to learn for new players, I might revisit the idea.

@@dylayneprincesinha9567 no I actually have the same problem followed the video and couldn't get it to work. I'm thinking of 2 possibilities, aside from the fact that we missed something. 1. Maybe the OS changed making gizmos working differently. 2. Maybe it's only a pcvr thing. I'm on quest and spent 30 mins replicating his circuit and it didn't work.

There's one thing ive realized when using this is that when there is multiple people in a room when using this is that it can be laggy of whatever you are controlling so if you want to make it smoother your gonna need a "if local player is room authority"
