How to move your Onedrive folder in Windows 10

Tutorial on moving the folder that Onedrive syncs to and from in Windows 10. Great for moving the Onedrive folder to another drive.

This does not consider "move" OneDrive folder. What if you already had 1TB synced down to your local computer, you don't want to do this way and re-sync again! Just simply exit out the OneDrive app, then cut or relocate that folder to another location. Start OneDrive app again and point it to new parent folder of new location of folder you just moved ... Done!

Yea I should update his video, this was recorded right after launch of windows 10 when that simply was not an option.

you don't need to delete the folder. just move to antoher location, and after complete the steps as you describe.

This is true today, on initial release of windows 10 however if you did this it would duplicate all your files on onedrive.

when i try to delete the onedrive folder from C drive it says i dont have permission lol even though i am the admin on the PC wtaf?!

this is probably the worse method to tell people to move the folder! you just delete the entire folder and content inside it and simply re-syn to onedrive, if I had 1TB of file and delete them all and re-download it to onedrive thats take ages.

Yea this is actually prior to microsoft fixing a lot of the issues that windows 10 had with onedrive. This was when there was literally no way to access files that were not on your drive. So you could not see cloud folders or cloud files...it was bad at this point in time. So yes, as of this point in time you are correct there are better ways by far to do it after many many updates. Thank God and Microsoft for fixing this.

Ure not being consistent with that tutorial you're teaching people how to do something show us with more accuracy and be more detailed because u're showing something to those who actually dont know something ... first you go too fast and second ure not consistent honestly i had to leave ure video and go to another i didnt like it just wanted to leave this comment
