Thanks for posting all of this info! I am nearly done my BA in Biology, but they are paying less than $14 for entry level research positions. For Pharmacy Tech they are paying between $17-35 in my area. Currently doing an online program to be able to take the PTCB before I finish, thank you for posting these they are very helpful!!

The hiring bot asked me very simple stuff like customer needs 15ml and they come in 5ml bottles, how many bottles do they need. Maybe more fast in person math on the actual interview

I’ve not worked as a pharmacist the last ten years and I want to come in USA as a tourist in order to pass the PTBC exam. Please someone like me, is it allowed to take the exam? Hey Robin. Don’t be nervous , retail is a great way to start your career. Your coworkers will already know that you won’t know much and will be willing to help , just make sure to stay calm and fill in where they need you. Oh yeah asks tons of questions so you’ll be able to retain the information better. Good luck

I'm cross-training, I am a shift Rx supervisor but want to be a tech, so far only 3 techs have their licenses, the rest of us are training so it's usually 1 pharmacists and 2 trainees 😬. It gets hectic. We'll go from production, to pick-up, then drive through, drop-off, and a phone call, all in the span of 15 minutes. Lol

I totally understand that feeling I’m sure we worked for the same company in the past lol . Just try to remember to give your best foot forward and give great patient care. I use to always tell my techs “play your role” , so for example it your better at production than drop off then do that because efficiency/productivity is always the end goal. Good luck
