These “how to nail the shot” videos are fantastic. This is the best way to teach and share real - in the field - tips and tricks. I really like what you do with your channel.

The great hints with your sharing of your knowledge, skill’s & experience (especially taking longer bursts when bringing down the shutter to get more keepers) will help us all to mail more shots! Thanks for these types of postings. 👏

Very interesting Steve. More of the same? Yes please. Also, you mentioned you had to do some layering in Photoshop following the use of a couple of Topaz’s products to make the best of a very high ISO image - would really appreciate seeing your workflow on that. I’ve recovered some lovely BIF images from very noisy RAW files using Topaz DeNoise RAW and Sharpen AI but, they always seem to lose too much feather detail.

+1 to this comment. Time to update your video on noise reduction with these new tools, Steve!

+10 to this comment! High ISO has become synonymous with wildlife photography and reducing or eliminating the noise is super important. I would love to see Steve's workflow in this regard.

Mr Perry, I find your videos extremely helpful as well as inspiring, thank you. Your images of the lion in black and white and of the leopardess are beautiful. One tip I would like to share is that cats, all sizes, not just the big ones, always yawn twice. Thank you again.

You're the best Steve! Just what I needed to fully understand why and how you do what you do. So educational and informativ. Thanks for doing this.
@jstephens622 жыл бұрын
I appreciate how you talked about technique rather than gear. We get so hung up on this camera or that lens that we fail to give enough thought on how to use the equipment we have. I had never thought about reducing shutter speed and ISO with the same subject over multiple shots. That is a simple thing to do instead of guessing on the proper settings which is what I normally do. Well done.

This video is one of my very favorites on shooting wildlife. Each image is inspiring. To get eight great shots, I am guessing you had to deal with thousands of frames, hours of preparation and post production, and mountains of experience. Thank you for sharing, Steve. In my decades of photography hobby, I don't think I have a single image that would feel comfortable in this group.
