As a Christian, conflict is one of those things that tear me apart. My flesh responds quicker than my spirit more often than not. Then the Holy Spirit convicts me and I realize I shouldn’t have said those things or done those things. So that now I’m wrestling with the shame of acting in a way that is contrary to the teachings of Jesus while my flesh is justifying my actions. And let me tell you there are few things more humbling than apologizing to someone who started a conflict with you. Please pray for me. That the sermon on the mount will be etched into my heart so that love will be the first intinct during conflict

This is a priceless message that should be taught in schools. I heard this message last Sunday and although it didn't apply directly to my situation, it did apply to close friends in my life to whom I relayed the core of this message to, and it helped them greatly. Focus on the reality and what you know. 1. You know their actions 2. You know your feelings. 3. What you can't know is their motives! When you're in conflict speak the truth! When you did/said ___ I felt ___. Allow the other person to have the space to give their truth! In love, pick the right moment to speak to the person and speak from your heart. Thank you so much for this message Pastor Ben!

In my past I've been verbally abused by Christians and I am a Christian. Now I'm guarded

I’m sorry to hear this. But am glad that despite your trials you didn’t let that come between you believing what is still true. Truth is truth regardless of our past. So press on to see Jesus as beauty. I’m encouraged from you
