Not even if you’ve presented evidence to the police and the court, that those entities agreed with. Narcissists are prone to magical thinking, which might include denying that which they’ve already admitted to and there’s a record of, in police records and court. Their truth and reality, wi change, according to need and it had nothing to do with actual truth and reality, unless they feel it serves them.

@MatthewHarrisLawPLLC Hey, thank you for the reply! You understand it more than most who've not been through it yourself. There's nothing quite like making it through something like this yourself. Right before the convid-19 lock down malarkey, I got out of a severely abusive situation. I'm not sure which was worse; the abuser himself that tried to kill me, or the people in the "law" who covered it up, even tried to get me to go back to him. The county attorney who didn't follow the mandatory arrest laws, refused to prosecute, the lower level judge who admitted "conflict of interest" while refusing to follow the national & state domestic violence laws (in the protection from abuse hearing), I couldn't even get my belongings, the county attorney even made a threatening "sugestion" that I leave "his" county when I asked him why he wasn't prosecuting the ex for trying to kill me! All but 2 of the sheriff department were corrupt... if I could've found a federally licensed attorney, I probably could've sued that county. The state I was in had a similar case to mine, I believe that went to the 6th circuit Court of appeals & the lady walked away with millions... these corrupt people who don't hold these abusers accountable are sick! I have my associates, and I'm not quite middle age... what I went through, I've almost thought of going back to college to become an attorney who could do these types of lawsuits against people who are acting "under the color of law" & violate peoples rights for their "buddies," or just don't take women seriously & refuse to uphold the law...

Right on… Be willing to walk away, help them think that what you need from them is in their best interests, keep reminding yourself of boundaries you set and stick to them, stay calm and don’t engage. That’s how I avoided court with my ex… at discovery his lawyer didn’t know who I was and I had been talking with him when my ex came up and said… so you met my wife. His lawyer grabbed him immediately and said … this is your wife! Everything was settled that day because his lawyer was a bulldog that turned on him. My ex had described me very differently than his lawyer expected and his lawyer said that I’d be a great witness for myself. I told my ex that day that I was going to hold my head up and he could keep being the snake that he is. I took back some of my myself that day. ❤

They can be very smooth liars/manipulators in order to get you "hooked" or caught up in an agreement to forced to stay for the abuse. It's often a co-dependency of nature. Very dangerous. Hi Matthew...i am wondering if you can help me on this topic...i don't know if you know this, but on the day of my husband's death, which was March 29, 2023, the police forced me to go to the hospital telling the hospital i was suicidal, which i did not tell them...i stayed there for many hours and they would not let me leave...It's actually a hospital-prison, filled with security cameras and police every square inch of that place, plus it's filthy dirty...They took blood tests, urine for testing for drugs, which they told me at the time they were checking for low electrolytes, but they lied...They also took BP and an x-ray of the chest, and covid test...They all acted like cops there, including the hospital workers...i caught the cops in at least 2 lies while they were here...i couldn't believe they were forcing me to go...They even blocked my way in my house, so i couldn't get my hat and go to the bathroom...They were treating me like a criminal...i know they would have kept me all night, but finally they let me go...It was absolutely terrifying...So, they sent me 2 hospital bills so far, one for $10, which i paid, hoping that would be it, but then they sent a bill for $800 for ONE x-ray, and they still haven't sent bills for the other things and for the many hours i was there, and i cannot afford to pay it...All i have is a little of my husband's savings with no money coming in, and i don't know what's going to happen with my life...But, if i don't pay, my credit, which i've built up my whole life, it will be ruined, plus i will probably lose the credit cards i have, plus they could even put me in jail...They did it all against my will...So, do you happen to know what i can do about it...(i live in Mercer county, NJ)...?...i cannot pay, shouldn't have to and i cannot afford a lawyer ...This is such a terrible situation... The laws for police to be more and more barbaric and narcissistic in NJ are on the rise....Also, the hospital-cops, (people that work there because they act just like cops), came to the house with real cops, less than a week later, questionning me in a very suspicious, horrendous way, to see if i need medication or to talk to someone about suicide or something, all because the cops lied...Now i am paying a huge price...i'm sure cops lie constantly and are not held accountable for it...Talk about narcissists...i think all cops are narcissists, probably....Plus i don't know when they are going to show up again...i do not have the $$$ to pay for those huge hospital bills...How can i get out of it without it affecting my credit and not go to jail, etc., which is utterly horrifying and totally unfair...? Thank you... Dawn

I really don't give a damn about a sick person I have a narcissist on me now she gets mad at me and put people on me I just over look her

Sorry, no sane person attempts to negotiate with a narcissist. The reality is that the narcissist is so out of touch with the truth that you have to placate their lie to keep the peace. They never admit a wrong therefore they never apologize. Their flying monkeys are so gaslighted that you end up being the villain all the time. Your best defence is to limit or avoid contact and to keep conversations with them on the weather, plants or cars, not ever anything personal.

This is all utter bs. You just described 90% of humanity, in other words, a narcissist is anyone you don't like or understand

Hey, I didn't determine the parameters for diagnosing someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. We left that to the professionals. It's not our fault that so many in society may exhibit some Narcissistic Personality traits.

I would like to say that there are some very specific ways to deal with people who exhibit narcissistic traits and thankfully our society isn’t made up of 90 % narcissists. I see these as some excellent tips in how to deal with the power struggles and how not to get sucked into or back into an environment where it makes it so much more difficult to make the best decisions you could. These tips are for both male and female. Just my opinion.

If you had ever dealt with a true narcissist you probably wouldn’t comment this way. There are people who have less than ordinary traits that are very difficult to deal with.

Negotiations with a narcissist is a fool’s errand. Do whatever you legitimately think is right and deal with whatever fallout comes from it. Document everything.
