1:08:45 Sifd has 69 soul hearts Edit: 1:09:43 : sifd learns his lesson and returns to 69 glorious soul hearts. 1:12:01 Sifd returns to 69 soul hearts but goes to 70 immediately after. 1:12:18 Sifd returns to 69 hearts after getting hit, satisfying me in the process. 1:14:20 Sifd loses 1 soul heart after getting hit. Sadly, losing his 69th soul heart. Eventually, Sifd ends the run at a disappointing 40 soul hearts. Which wasn't enough to survive being claimed by death. Maybe the 29 soul hearts could have helped.

This is getting nerfed next patch. Edit: At the time of the recording I was not aware what was going on in the discord of this game, I have just realized that this was a thing that people were already aware of and it was gonna get nerfed anyway. Believe it or not I literally discovered this on my own 2 runs before this one and thought it was gonna be nerfed because of me showcasing it, which I didn't want, obviously that is not the reason, people have already found it before me and already pushed for a nerf, the reason why I was saying to not nerf it was because finding it on my own gave me the feeling of finding a broken thing in the game because I understand how mechanics interact with each other and it felt great breaking the game based on understanding mechanics. This whole argument falls flat if you think every single person who plays this game is on the discord or is watching videos on the game, which I don't believe they do, but it is what it is.

@Sifd the super hero has an infinite money talent wich means you can buy infinite blue heart,mana star and dodge , weapon upgrades ect.... to make the ultimate ultimate build

sift after abusing(having fun) the scarf for 30 soul harts you are practically immortal soo just sell it and the flask charm so you can get more op charms , like after 20 soulhearths you are immortal so in my opinion its better to get more op damage/stat wise. (just my opinion no hate or anything, love you and you are really pumping out great content ;) )

So sad that this was going to get nerfed, because I did use this for my cinder 16 run. I am not sure if you did this, but you could also reduce the cost of the nurse in the tavern to 5 gold, and then have the tavern always appear at level 3, 6, 9. This way you can plan when you get infinite life. Lastly there is an Offhand which gives you more damage per soul heart you have. I got this one time in a run and I was able to do 150k on any weapon I picked up.

@@Sifd the dev already said in the discord his biggest mistake was *listening to you* for balance decisions. he nerfed it because he realizes what you have said in the past. it is boring and people are going to feel compelled to take it even though it makes their game boring. therefore leaving something that makes the game boring is a stupid idea. he isn't opposed to making base difficulty easy and accessible or adding accessibility settings. the stance that someone who needs help with the game _has_ to use this one boring strategy is a bad one. there are a million better ways to let them beat the game in a way that is _fun_ and actually has variety.

That video was obviously about the Soul Scarf, you'd know it if you watched the previous one. And even if you don't know it, it's still an optional way of beating the game right now. Talking crap about how "acftually, beta branch fixed it" doesn't work as an argument against this video, since it is not the current game version. At the moment of the video creation it is a viable strategy to (if you're at least halfway decent) never lose the game. Not like you said it, since I can't find that comment from you. Did you delete it too? Good, then it seem you understand my point, I'm just reiterating it for anyone else who comes across.

I agree with having something that guarantees a win but ONLY if you have at least 80% of the unlocks but if you're using that guaranteed win it doesn't allow for things to unlock whilst using it, much like other games that say if you use cheats then achievements are disabled

Tried this with the super hero's super rich trait, and found the Soul Lantern that gives 20% bonus damage per soul heart with no cap.

The King's Guard is Ornstein and Smough from Dark Souls, which if its accurate to Dark Souls the fat one (Smough) is harder in phase 2 than the skinny one (Ornstein). Though in Dark Souls Ornstien is way harder to keep alive during phase 1 becaise he's much stronger and constantly harassing you

There seems to be a Bug. When playing with this class, armor also Shows Double stats Like Charms in the First glance. On the second it Shows the real Numbers. Noticed it while playing the class too.

I honestly don’t know how I feel about them patching it the way they are. The flasks are going to only give you a soul heart if it heals a heart once it gets patched. I thought a better approach would have been to limit it to only one soul heart per flask per floor. You can get some fun broken synergies from it. I feel like the way they are patching it is just going to render the scarf useless.

Sifd forgetting he doubles the effects of charms, and simply buying the charm would make it 80%, meaning he skipped out on 160% damage increase in exchange for 12% attack speed. Lol.

I beat cinder 16 on a paladin. Only took 2 tries as i got a decent weapon the second time. Cinder 16 isn't hard. It feels like the game gives you negative magic find though because i never find good gear on c16 runs
