Trick tip + strengthening muscles involved + dialing trick even further is a good template would love to see more. I'd be very interested in your thoughts on 5-0's and nosegrinds on ledges

as a rugby player who skates I always wondered why exercises and plyometrics weren't utilized more in skateboarding. This is so awesome dude!

Damn this video was so good. The sinking down ( bending legs) into tricks is such an obvious thing in retrospect but something i had not really factored in in twenty plus years of skating. It really makes balancing on grinds and slides feel a lot more stable and satisfying 🙌

Really enjoying your content, tips, and exercises for practice. It’s something I’ve been focused on and doing as I am relearning tricks and improving technique, but you’ve really got it dialed in to a science that makes sense.

Yes please! More videos like this. Can I apply the same principles for tail slides or is it different stuff?
@TheDailyPush
@TheDailyPush Жыл бұрын
Yeh man the exercises are going to be beneficial for all round stability, not just noseslides, although you could add some movements that simulate tailslides a bit more, eg shifting your weight to land on the back foot. I'd have to get out and mess about with tailslides but I think most the skate tasks will prob be useful too.

Great video. However I feel like the pop out is almost as important as the slide itself. I pop out my noseslides kinda sketchy. Any tips?

Could yo elaborate on the fs noseslide? I feel like where your eyes are looking is key to lock in. Idk. Maybee you have some more insights on this one?

What do you mean with the eyes dude? I can do a video on them at some point, although my front noses aren't as comfortable as back noses 😅
@Tommel87
@Tommel87 Жыл бұрын
@@TheDailyPush Its a bit hard to explain. I think you're basically covered the fs noseslide also with many of the tips you gave in this video👏. But its something about how the upperbody and head is rotating and where you're looking at, for example at the end of the ledge. Idk 😅🤷‍♂️

Love these videos. Your channel and JB over at skatepark lessons have been my biggest help learning to skate. Your channel has been great because I'm 38 and although not in horrible shape because of the sort of work I do, I haven't done any athletics for over a decade for the most part. Your content has been awesome with getting/staying in shape and recovery for skating.
