Its 200% worth getting if you like rogue-like bullet hell and I personaly think that its better than ETG.(~200 hours in both games) NT also provides greater challenge than ETG. There is no such thing as OP run in this game. One little mistake and you will die in half a second or even faster sometimes.

the game started as a solo game and got modded to be able to play coop online, so yeah, playing solo is a big part of it. i say the game is absolutely worth it, i have hundreds of hours on it.

Each loop the game gets harder and harder, with more enemies spawning, and different bosses appearing. On loop 3, freak police start spawning which are very strong in health and shoot in very odd ways. It basically game changing.
