What's your tip tip to look your age or look younger?

Great Advise Sheila ! I’ve only truly understood what it means to LOVE and appreciate myself this last decade of my life ( late 50’s), I’ve totally stopped ‘comparing myself’ to others! God made me divinely Unique , (we are all Divinely unique ) 💖 So I have come to embrace that divinity in myself 🙏 I give thanks for every wrinkle , gray hair , and body transformation I have encountered..... these impressions are the residuals of my life that have allowed me to become ‘liberated ‘ to my own individuality ! I give thanks for every experience along my journey ! Everyone should love & appreciate their “unique selves “ first and foremost ✨ We cannot shine on the outside if we do not shine from within first. All diamonds deserves to sparkle

Great pep talk and I agree with this message. I would add that updating your hair style is vital. I see women of a certain age who are still getting perms or are wearing a very masculine short pixie with side burns that they don't style at all. It says, "I gave up and I don't care." Everything you mentioned is important including purging your closet regularly of clothing that is dated or doesn't fit well. EXERCISE will keep you looking younger. A slim body is more youthful.

Thank you. I appreciate that. Yes, it is all very important - the inside and the outside.

You are so right :) It's important to take care of yourself, have a good attitude, and dress with a style that works for you. Also, don't chase the trends. I never watch any videos on "How to look younger". I don't want to look younger I want to look good for my age and to age with grace and dignity.

I agree with Sharon in all that she said. As you said: the inside is absolutely the most importamt way to look your age: attitude, activity, and attention to details in your wardrobe. Thank you for the pep talk!

Hi Sheila, I think a scarf around the neck is dating especially when it to short. Now a long scarf that hangs below the waist is much more interesting.
@selectiveoutrage66173 жыл бұрын
I watch a couple of French fashion channels. The French still wear short scarves. It's classic, along with berets and marinieres. I also watch the How to Wear a Scarf channel by a Russian woman for many interesting ideas, including vintage looks.

Would you do some holiday and party outfits that use what you already have in your closet? The holidays are fast approaching.

Hello, from Toronto; I would like your opinion on what shade of pink can a winter colour palette wear? Thank you.
@StylebySheila3 жыл бұрын
Hello, fellow Canadian. To answer your question, it depends on the person. Years ago when seasonal winter/summer/spring/autumn palettes were used colours were few and basic. Today, colour analysis takes into consideration different personality characteristics and the colouring of each person.

Adding a long scarf unless you are wearing it for cold weather and with your coat is old fashioned.

Looking younger is not a realistic goal -- looking current / modern is!

Yes, looking current ( looking your best and taking care of yourself) is certainly the best look.

Be mindful of wearing clothing that an 18-30 years old woman wears well. After 50 (over 25 in my opinion) wearing distressed jeans is sloppy, cut out clothing is inelegant. "Mutton dressed as lamb" to be avoided. Shorter hair on a mature age woman is much more flattering as it lifts the face and jawline, as opposed to long hair. Make up - less is more to avoid the 'caked foundation' look. Growing older is a blessing.

Yes, growing older is a blessing.

Getting older indeed is a blessing and you only have one life to live. And it’s definitely not to please society’s idea/rules of what you should or shouldn’t wear. Wear what you’re comfortable in and makes you happy. There’s no way I’m cutting my hair once I turn 50, life is too short to follow these silly rules or I should say opinions. In the end beauty and fashion is subjective, age is just a number and we’re not here on this earth to please other people😆
@rosemarycooper15723 жыл бұрын
I agree with you Maria, especially distressed jeans and cut out clothing. The French have it right, simplicity, three colour rule, and only three key pieces of jewellery. As regards hair, past shoulder length can sometimes be ageing on an older women, but it’s lovely and elegant tied back. My advice is to just try and make an effort with your closed makeup and it will lift you spirits and you will get compliments!
