Thanks. Hopefully it keeps people from ending up like those at the end of the video

Good stuff! I always try to stay next to the curb by about a foot. I can then turn my tire away from the curb. If the truck rolls back it goes against the curb and stops like a chock.

That is an absolutely brilliant tip! Never thought of it but sure wish I have know it before making this video so I could of mentioned it.

Good tips. One of my ramps at low water has a wash out hole the trailer drops off into just before the boat ready to come off. If lake went down 3ft more my truck would be in it and probably take out the drive shaft. My trailer frame all but scrapes when it falls. Then there’s a huge pile of sand/mud at the back from people power easing up to the trailers the using the motor to force boat up bunks. They should back down another foot or get out and winch boat up on trailer.

That’s also where the hole came from.

Yep once you fall off the ledge it can be impossible to get out sometimes without another vehicle to help pull.

You only described vehicles with open differentials. Not all 4wd trucks spin one in front and one and rear and no all 2wd spin 1 in rear

I know everything about lockers and open diffs and know exactly what I said. And you should not be using lockers on pavement. And 80% of trucks are open diffs. And of the 20% with lockers I bet less than 30% of the owners even know what the locker does.

Not surprised seeing these trucks at the end. I know you’ve spent as much time as me at launch ramps. Most people can’t back up a trailer. Launch a boat. Have no clue on launch ramp courtesy. There’s a video idea for you. Don’t know how to operate their boat. Or load their boat. The list goes on and on. Road rage has nothing on launch ramp rage! Lol Nice video.

Agree 100% on the ramp etiquette, knowledge etc. People think it's as simple as buy boat, now a boater..lol but you hope they will eventually get the hang of it and yet wish they would of took that new boat and trailer to a empty parking kit for an hour or 2 and learned some life skills.

@@Jason-Samko Yes. And get all your shit together BEFORE you go to launch. Can’t tell you how many times people about to drop boat in water, after 15 minutes trying to back in. Then decide to undo all the straps, ropes. Unload supplies into the boat. All the while tying up the ramp for everyone else.

@davidleist7587 yep was always fun to go to the ramp and anchor close by on busy days just to watch all the crap people do at the ramp. Sometimes even see fights break out😂
