This was the best bowling pair batting at number 7 in Sachin's captaincy to win at home Bangalore against Australia then captain Mark Taylor's maiden and only ODI century in losing cause I guess in 96 during festival of Dashera. Sachin was top scorer with 88 and 1 wicket. This was the only time I felt Srinath deserved the Man of the Match but unfortunately given to Sachin.

I was 8/9 when I saw this match … my oldest cricketing memory. Was sooooo mad I couldn’t speak or yell properly. Wanted the last player to get out in any way to not give Kumble his 10. Looking back now; i’m thankful last Pakistani batsmen didn’t throw away the wicket to someone else. Loss in humiliation is acceptable but giving up or cheating shouldn’t be. I don’t care about 10 wicket haul anymore. Only thing I take from this is that this is typical Pakistan… one day destroying best team & next day losing to an associate nation.
