Decent video but would have liked to have seen how the WeekOffset column was created, seeing as it is needed to complete the DAX

Curious why in your original table, 2016 showed Max Week # of 53, but in your solution, 2016 only goes up to 2016-52. In your 3rd (Imke) technique, you didn't scroll down past 2015 so I was curious what it would've showed. Thanks for the tips here! Kindof amazing that Power BI doesn't handle week intelligence more inherently.

Hello Jeff, Thank you for posting your query onto our channel. We really appreciate you taking your valuable time to post it. The reason why "Max Week #" shows 53 as a result for the Year 2015 and 2016 in original table is because these two years contain the overlapping dates. That is, Week No. 53 for both these years contain the dates from 28th Dec, 2015 to 3rd Jan, 2016 and therefore, both the years showcase 53 as results when "ISOWeekNumber" is used. Ideally, year 2015 contains 53 weeks and not year 2016. The reason being is, the year in which new week begins is considered as a starting point for week counting. So in this case, week 53rd began on 28th Dec, 2015, the year 2015 will showcase the results as 53 weeks and not the year 2016. And that's what our EDNA Expert - Brian Julius has explained in the video that, it's better to use "WeekOffset" since it's in a continuous format and doesn't reset when new year begins otherwise we would've faced the same over-lapping problem, the way we faced in the case of "ISOWeekNumber". Lastly, in the case of Power Query based solution as well, it would've showcased the same results since Week No. 53 falls in the year 2015 and not 2016. You can try the solution in your PBIX file as well and then scroll all the way down till end of year of 2016.
