Thanks for all your videos man. I am at this point now. I’m currently looking for barbers. I am living in Michigan and I purchased a barbershop back home in Hawaii and I have 13 stations in the shop. The shop currently has 6 barbers but I have a feeling some of them will leave once I come and implement my culture, and my expectations I have for the shop. It’s a scary situation especially not being there yet. I gotta hit the ground running soon as I make it back home. Keep up the great work man. Stay blessed 🤙🏼

Thanks for the video brother I open my shop 2 years ago in a small town in NC and finding good barber that what to put in the time and the work to built their clientele or even to be responsible and make it to the shop it’s been really tough. Good thing I could handle all the bills on my own 🙏🏼

I just opened I feel you on what you said about looking for barbers. I’m getting a positive response from barbers about to graduate. My shop looks tight and great location. It’s just my client base is at baby stage also. Do you have new barber pay rent or commission?

How do you take care of your taxs, year end to Date or quarterly? Do you use an accountant or turbo tax? Payroll services? Insurance for the shop and Health insurance for employees? Do you do a percentage for school? Does booth rent include a percentage off of product? How's managing your stress levels? Has it had a impact on your mental health and family life?

Yes, please more details! I homeschool my kids and I’m using this series as part of our “business” math program I created. They are all “opening” their own barber shops. 😅 I usually do a pet or sports store, but the kids are loving this! They’ve created the names and logos on canva and are printing them! And they have to look up prices of everything, including barbacide and tools and inventory. Oh, it’s a whole thing. 💀😂 (also, before you think I’m crazy,I am a Cosmo who only cuts men/boys and considering barber school myself). 😅

super appreciate all this content, all the feedback and knowledge you provide goes unnoticed. I think the more detailed the better lol so im all in for more details!Quick question, what trimmer would you recommend getting? stuck on which trimmer to purchase. Been stuck between the lo pro fx with the blue fx blade or just the boost+ trimmer, or even the saber, or even the fx one. Dont really know the difference between the fx one and the boost+ besides the whole battery system
@Seancutshair11 ай бұрын
Any of those are good. Fx one is top
@raymond462811 ай бұрын
appreciate the response man, unfortunately my buddy sold his fx one quick, but i was able to get my hands on a saber for extremely cheap considering the price value, i got it for $80 so im super stoked to have that in my beginner barber rotation. Will definitely get that fx uno when im a little more advanced. Thank you sean for the response, it means a lot

Yo seancutshair, unrelated but I see a lot of videos of barber scissoring hair dry, not wet, could you please do a video on this?
@Seancutshair Жыл бұрын
Dry is mostly how we’re taught in school. I don’t believe you can get a good level of precision on dry hair. I cut wet for precision, and dry for refining

Love all your parts on how to open a barbershop. Looking into opening up my first shop in the next couple of months. Im in the nyc area. Most shops I see are on ground level. The shop I’m getting is on the second floor. How should I promote the shop being that it’s at the second level of the building?
@Seancutshair Жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t know specifically but I would promote it the same as any other. Social media, signage, paid ads if you need

Have you ever considered buying a building to build true equity instead of just paying rent? Thoughts?
@Seancutshair10 ай бұрын
No, anything for sale is old or back in behind stuff. Not gonna get a Main Street spot without a couple million. I wouldn’t be opposed for the right deal and location but it’s just not here.

Hey man, new sub here. Do you videos on how to pay your employer? And what are your thoughts about partnerships with someone to open barbershop
@clippercolt Жыл бұрын
Thanks for these videos Sean. Hands down some of the most helpful content relating to barbering come from you! One question, do you prefer your barbers be all on the same online booking site, or do they kind of stick with their own? I’m having trouble finding a good platform for booth rental shops. A lot of sites seem to cater towards commission based shops with payroll and whatnot.
@Seancutshair Жыл бұрын
I prefer them all to be on our app, or I should say that is a requirement at our shop if they want to do appointments
