And the German Embassy / Consulate will ask you for a blocked account confirmation to prove you have sufficient funds. This blocked account is called Sperrkonto in the German Language.
• It is a specific type of account where you block approx. €10, 332 in a German Bank, to prove you have sufficient finances to fund yourselves during your stay.
• The account is completely yours and it is usually blocked for a year.

Give this information in which bank student need not to pay money for each month to the bank. Students if you open a blocked account in Germany you have to pay 4-6 Euro per month. If you are not a student you have to pay more. I suggest open blocked account in Commerzbank in Germany where they will not charge. May be other banks also. You can ask to your University.
