Uh method 2 is literally just the way its suppose to open anyway. I mean duh you would be holding the bottles neck if not it just unscrews from the bottle. So you would be holding the neck and turning in the arrows direction or counter clockwise. You have to hold the ring with needle nose pliers between the neck and actuator or take it out and the tube amd twist or hold the casing under the cap above the tube the twist. But even then sometimes its still stuck firmly like mine is. Running it under hot water for a few mins can help big time.

I have not tried the hot water method, will try it out 👍🏽. I do have a doubt, if the bottle is a skincare product, will the hot water effect the product?🤔
