How to open engine hood when battery dead ( Volkswagen Passat B6)

Thx, I wish you showed that trick on cam too. I I need to open the hood on my late brothers passat, it has been sitting for a year. I have the key, I opened the door n pulled the Hood release. All with a seriously dead batt. I do understand the security concerns, but not adding more cost, in order to get it ready for an Estate sale, is my goal.

thanks for info. 03 year vw Bora not turn type. Type is pull ttype .three fixed points. Just pull....

I have a Volkswagen Tiguan 2010 and does this work the same way , because ive already taken the that plastic VW sign off !!!! I need to jumpstart my suv .....

It's not the door its the front hood latch to my Volkswagen Tiguan it won't open ... i see the latch but cant figure out how to open the hood because the hood release inside the suv is broken....!

Ok, so if thw VW Logo comes out it means you got a chance to release it from there. Look for a whole and try release the handle. But if the release nside the car is brocken so its to tight you might have to cut it somehow to release the tension

Its easy turn the front grill volkswagon emblem to the left . And remove. Step 2 top right port stick screw driver in and pry down gently. Step 3. If you look a little bit to the left from when you inserted the screw driver . You will see the hood cabel. Step 4 pry down on that cabel and it will release the hood. End of story my friend

But is it same vw passat 2014 b7??? I'm in the same situation. But I can find anything after opening vw logo😢
