@@mozambique9113 Its actually waterproofing the phone. Easy removable backs means that the seal can be broken easily and therefore not waterproof.

​@@harryramsey8651Thats not entirely true...outside of the brick phone with the seperate battery from the 1980s, I've owned quite a few phones from the 1990s onwards and all of them could be opened up - in fact more than one brand made it so you could change the face & back to whatever colour outer case you wanted. Some even allowed you to change the tiny antenna so it could flash different lights. Thing is, not one of them ever suffered from water getting in...(eg dropping in puddles, rain etc). Companies do this for one reason only - money. Phones nowadays are so brittle and have so much glass manufacturers dont want the customer messing about with these new generation phones anymore incase something breaks and they (the company) has to keep sending out new phones. So best thing is make the phone hard to open up.

For the A AO1 you have to remove the sim card first. Forgot that step.

I cut wiring while doing this exactly as displayed. Preheating may work better. Watch out for wiring on top of the phone and top right (non-camera) side.

@@송승재-q3k I just stuck the piece back where it was and flattened it out as best I could, making sure it was touching the rest of the copper strip...apparently its just for heat distribution to keep the phone cooler
