I will say this, Jasmine. There are wonderful seller platforms out there. Etsy is one, and different then the popular Shopify. What I wish was, Shopify, Wix, Godaddy and the others, would stop telling people like me and you that in 5 minutes, we could have a website up and running and ready for business. This is so not true. Oddly enough, it is what brought me to Etsy. Building an Etsy website is by far, one of the easiest to master. I'll gladly use Etsy and during that time, take the time I need to set up one of the other websites. Shopify will definitely be one of them, and I will make sure I master Wix and/or Godaddy. We must always have backups. Something to jump over to quickly if need be.

That side of things was too much work. I think after you get past that it gets easier, but I wasn't willing to put in the work. It just isn't for me!

It depends. Once they order it and it’s in the process of shipping? Nope. BUT once they get it in the mail, they will see the address as you would need to have it on the shipping label/envelope you are mailing it. If you feel uncomfortable with this, I would suggest getting a PO Box and a lot of youtubers do this to keep their address safe. Ik I’m not the creator of this but I know from buying I’m Etsy and I hope this helped :)

In Germany, selling handmade items online is considered a business. I had to register my little business before opening an Etsy shop. But I don't know how it works in other countries. Hope it was still helpful to anybody ^.^

I’m planning to start my shop very soon, and I have a bank account in Cyprus (country eligible for Etsy payments) but I’m currently living in Lebanon (not eligible for Etsy payments + don’t have paypal) and I can’t go back to Cyprus in the near future due to personal reasons. I want to sell digital downloadable art only, so no shipping required... So I’m will open my account with all the Cyprus informations but managing it from Lebanon... Is that okay? I don’t want to “violate” any rules but in the meantime I really want to open a shop and showcase my pieces. Thanks in advance!
