In order to put the flaceplate back on the Wii do the white plastic things in the inside of the faceplate go below or above the metal things on the Wii. The things that look like little metal plates cause I'm trying to put a new faceplate and I can seem to get it in.

@@varianfortunate2134 use a smaller flat head screwdriver. One that crosses the tri area in 2 spots. That should work. The tri tip screwdriver is only about 2 bucks on ebay. Once you can get that. Hope that helps

Hoping someone can help with this question. I took apart the system for a drive repair, on the red and black wire connector that leads to the face plate the black wire broke off from its solder joint. I put it back together and everything seems to function normal, boots up and disc ejects. Wondering if I can leave that wire not soldered back in, is it more so a ground wire in case? Can someone help me? I had have a Nintendo wii for several years but until now I hadn’t try to use a GameCube controller and till now I realize it had a manufacturing defect, that is that the GameCube controller inputs for the joystick are shoot/direct(not sure what the correct terms is,but what I mean is the console thinks you permanently are moving the joystick to the left) can someone tell me if there is something I can do to fix it or if it’s better to just give up on it?

My Nintendo Wii was with a dvd stuck on it. With this video I was able to remove the dvd. BUT I cannot know how to reset the drive. There's two metal pieces blocking the entrance of a new dvd. I mean, I think that dvd drive still believe that there's a cd on it. Somebody know how to deal with that??? Please

You could try using some homebrew apps that order the wii to "eject dvd" and that kind of things. If that doesn't work, then the cd drive is broken
