Mr 45 when I saw thumbnail I originally thought this was an older video because of how young you look. I take my cap off all I see is a reflection off the top of my head and no age difference. This has nothing to do with the video which as usual was very informative and to top it off had my man John Wayne referred to which was great

Old video, old gun. I love the Colt SAA. I have one real one and two replicas. I have never carried one, and don't even have a holster for one. I mostly do my shooting out in the AZ desert. I use a folding table. I almost always load six, because the gun is always pointed down range when loaded. I love to shoot black powder in them, but haven't done that in a long time. I've never been into reloading, and don't have any reloading equipment. I had to have someone else load the black powder for me. I love the smell and smoke of black powder. I have NEVER had a negligent discharge. With ANY gun.

The reason of the longer barrels And particularly the original 7 1⁄2" barrel. Was because of the black powder burn rate. Would require that burn to get a sufficient velocity To do what it had to do!

I can safely load all six chambers in my Ruger Vaquero, thanks to modern improvements like the transfer bar. Another advantage the Ruger has over the Colt is if I want to I can hand-load much hotter loads than the Colt can take. I never have, but it's nice to have options.
